Some would bypass this trip discounting it as just a bunch of rocks and stone, but I find stuff like this fascinating. No photos do the place justice, you really have to make this place a stop if your into history at all.

When going to Cambodia bring as many $1 notes as possible. The ATM's spit our big bills, but ones are hard to come by, so be prepared to get change in Rheal their worthless currency. The would rather take USD over it 24/7.Attached Files

A couple of areas in the complex have food stands and cold drinks.
At the very front entrance to the main entrance small children will rush you to buy souvineers. Everything is pretty much a $1 whether its a t-shirt or a set of Angkor postcards. The kids speak better english than the adults, and know all the marketing phrases.Attached Files

You can buy a nice picture book from one of many children selling them for about $2 or $3. You kind of feel guilty haggling with them, but they exactly what they are doing. What their parents told them.Attached Files

I opted for the boat ride to Phnom Penn instead of the bus. I thought this would be more scenic. Can't remember the prices. A pick-up truck picked us up at guesthouse at 7 a.m. and then went around picking up other farangs until the pickup was overflowed. My ladyboy was sitting on my lap in the back of pickup with a bag on her lap. Then we took a dirt road that was lined with shacks about 20 minutes to this pier. When we got there all these people rushed us trying to sell us water and food items.Attached Files

The boat wasn't much, but inside plenty of room as backpackers took to the top to get sun burns.
These houses and shops were on the water where we launched.Attached Files

This is a floating gymnasium. The view wasn't so good, and most of the way was like crossing a lake. We we far from the shore. Occassionally you would see a temple at a distance. The fisherman were crowded in their hot spots, but over all a ride they told me would take 3.5 hours took 5, making me wish I took the bus which would have been faster.Attached Files
