if you guys have someone special you like and want to get away from Bangkok for a few days, take them down to Ko Samet. this island paradise is only about 3 hours by mini-van to Ban Phe, and then you take a nice boat ride to the island. if you leave BKK at 8AM you can be out there relaxing by noon or 1 PM, and it's a very nice place to spend time with a girl. it's also very cheap and has great seafood there.
BUT.......if you are looking for a wild place with lots of nightlife, you will not find that here. It's the perfect place to take a date for a week or a few days, but no good for single people.
I will be taking my sweetheart there for a few days when I return and i am looking forward to it.
