It's your choice what you like.

The condo gives you a full kitchen and washer/dryer, generally better balcony and view than most hotels for the price.
If you try and get an ocean view room on a high floor at a hotel it will cost you plenty usually.
You can control your room service and just have them clean when you want, laundry and groceries are right on the main floor.
This particular condo has an awesome pool better than most hotels in Pattaya.
    Location is premium.

Hotels you will get better "service" but more scrutiny, may have a joiner fee up to 1500 baht for each guest.
Possibly better security in hotels, however more people will be able to access your room than a condo.
The condo may belong to someone as a sublet so it may not be perfect like hotel rooms.
Hotels will provide amenities and maybe a mini bar. Condo comes with amenities but you may have to buy more.
Condo you would have to buy your own booze and snacks at 7-11 but i do that in hotels to save money anyway.
Hotel may have a more beautiful lobby and late night check in may be easier.

I find less scrutiny coming in and out with ladyboys at the condo, not that hotels are that bad.
Hotels there is just more people hanging around and more families.

My last 2 times in Pattaya I stayed at hotels.
However I prefer the condo and partly because i like a good swimming pool.

I once stayed at the Holiday Inn Pattaya and got a high floor partial ocean view and it was about $90.
The room and balcony was tiny. That was probably the most comparable hotel.
There is dirt cheap hotels in Pattaya if you don't care about location or comforts.
There is also 5 star hotels that are insane.

Someone once told me they like to stay in a condo in View Talay 1 for $25 USD per night.
It is a bit out of the way but nice view and cheap.

There is many condos on AirBnB but I have tried it in Thailand with mixed success.
It is not actually legal there so you recourse could be limited with that.
You can read my thread in the hotels section.

Crag, do you think I could still find those two babes at Sensation bar? What are their names?
Yeah he's quite the guy that Tim Sharky.

I've never seen those two ladyboys at the new sensations location.
I was at the old outdoor location and they just fell in my lap at the end of the night.
I'm sure you'll find your own discoveries.

I think they are from Bangkok actually.
If you look at Guess Bar threads in the Bangkok Bar section you see them working there a few years ago.
Guess bar is gone and I have not seen either of them recently.

Sharky should introduce big time Westling to compete with Muay Thai boxing. Have big muscle guys compete against each other, women wrestlers, and LADYBOY competitors with LB sign holders. What fun that would be. Just need a rich Thai to bankroll it. Just rent some open nights at the Pattaya Muay Thai auditorium which is nice and has a seriously big camera mounted on a long pole. That famous ladyboy boxer later competed in wrestling matches and made trips to Japan where they loved him. Loved that movie.

Thanks Crag, you are right I might be so dazzled when I am there forget anything else. I am just anticipating too much I guess. Been working a lot last few years really need a Live-it-up break. I feel I am in the right place here.
So final verdict for a first timer who wants comfort, vicinity to everything an LB friendly hotel safe comfortable clean, maybe long term more than two weeks, which hotel do you recommend?

I think it best not to arrange too much for ladyboys before going.
Some like to line some up from Thai Friendly or hunt down ladyboys they have seen on porn sites.
However I prefer just to wing it to some extent. You cannot account for chemistry or looks online always.
Plus it is hard to get rid of them if you set them up in advance sometimes.
The best situations just seem to come out of the blue and in Thailand it's not like you won't find any ladyboys.

Almost every hotel and condo in Pattaya is ladyboy friendly. There may be a couple that aren't but not many.
However most hotels charge a joiner fee of 1000+ baht per ladyboy. A condo you do not have to pay this.

Thailand is quite safe in general, I have never even heard of anyone breaking into hotel rooms or condos, as was previously suggested.
Both condos and hotels have security so I cannot say either is safer or has a better class of people.
All hotels and condos have room safes.
More of a risk is getting robbed by your guest or something than any B&E so just keep your stuff locked up.
And don't leave your drink alone.

Generally hotels you cannot get any deals for a longer stay, you will pay the nightly rate.
Often you can find deals on Agoda, sometimes for longer stays but you have to shop around.
Condos you can get weekly or monthly rates.

As i say there is not much comfort difference between hotels and condos other than nicer hallways and lobbies.
Often the hotels the hotel rooms don't look as good as pictures unless the hotel is new or newly renovated.
Generally the beds in hotels are better but some Thai brand hotels do have very hard beds.

As I say I am staying in the View Talay next time after staying in hotels the last two times.
Less scrutiny coming in with ladyboys and I can choose when i get my room cleaned in the condo.
I find housekeeping very annoying in hotels as they keep bothering you to clean the room after you have been out all night.
Then if you put the do not disturb sign up they end up not cleaning your room at all.
Hotels may also ask for cash deposits and charge more for broken or lost items.

View Talay 6 is very well placed and right beside the Hilton, which is very expensive.

The LK hotels are ok and reasonably priced, some are run down and the staff not so friendly, some good location others not. I won't stay at this one again.
            https://theladyboyforums.com/asiaboa...-hotel-pattaya

Dynasty hotel is very cheap and centrally located, may charge a joiners fee. If you stay at their hotel in Bangkok you get cheap transportation here. These hotels are fairly basic. The Dynasty Grande in Bangkok is very nice and I have stayed many times.

            Dynasty Inn

At Mind has nice suites, a little out of the way.
            https://theladyboyforums.com/asiaboa...idence-pattaya

A-one star hotel new and cheap, no joiner fee, a little out of the way but close to the beach.
A-ONE Hotels, discover true luxury and comfort.Luxury and comfort is not something you buy out of the shelve, true luxury and comfort is a feeling of being yourself,

Hotels can be cheap in Pattaya but will generally cost more overall than an apartment or condo.
You can always try both sides of the fence and see what you prefer.
If you plan to stay in 4 star hotel and higher, that is where Thailand hotels shine compared to western hotels.
However 4 stars are generally more expensive.

Generally if you want to be central and close to bars you should stay East of Pattaya Central road towards Walking street, and south of Soi Buakhao.

This Dancewatchers site has some nice units too. Either in View Talay 6 or View Talay 2A in Jomtien.
Lots of reviews and comments plus all their rates get cheaper the longer you stay.

Thanks Crag, that Room 27 looks pretty good. I will for sure call them ask if they have anything available for two to three weeks stay. And thanks for your advice about the LB's I agree with you about lining up girls from a distance isn't the best idea. You go there and you realize you could get a lot better at a fraction of effort.
Outlander how would you compare Dynasty In with Sunshine residence. The latter seems closer to the action but I hear they say it is a very noisy hotel.?

I stayed at the Dynasty Pattaya my first time in Thailand in 2007. At that time it was $28 CAD.
The street can be noisy as there is live music across the street at a beer bar but the street isn't too bad.
It is really close to almost everything and I never heard much noise inside the rooms.
The rooms are very basic but nice and clean and cheap.

I believe the Sunshine has two pools while the Dynasty has a very small one on the roof.
There is many good restaurants near the Dynasty and also the Sunshine.
The Sunshine is a little less central than the Dynasty but still a good location.
There is more bars and action on Soi 8 near the Sunshine but the hotel is constructed such as to shield you from much of the hubbub on the street.

It is the Sunshine HOTEL that is on Soi 8. Not Sunshine Residence. You can book there at Agoda.com. They are only $40 a day with 10-day cancellation benefit. Goes up to $60 after the New Year's. Other quotes are cheaper but not refundable. Blue Lizard and King's Castle ladyboy bars are right across the small street, but sell used cars. Go down the same street or walk around the next Soi 7 where there are smaller, younger, and friendlier LB's. I hate the older taller LB's as they do nothing but rip you off or don't perform. You can tell because they don't smile. Yes, it is noisy at Sunshine Hotel so bring gun ear protection for sleeping. Quiet during the day. Stay absolutely away from Soi 6. It is not next to Soi 7. You have to ride a baht bus to get there. Just ask the driver to drop you off at Soi 6. Pushy and next thing you know everybody wants you to buy them a drink. Just say, "NO! One at a time", and they will split. Lots of hotels on Sois 7 and 8. Just go to Google Earth and type Pattaya Beach. Then zoom into Soi 7 and 8. Right click the human body and drop it off on the specific Soi and you will fly down to the street level. Walk around and search for the different hotels there. Flipper Lodge on soi 8 is very popular and there's a Flipper Hotel on soi 7 on the upper half of the street. Many more hotels but more expensive. You'll live picking a date then a short walk to your bed. Can do this all night. Remember stay away from the tall ones who don't smile or are fake. Other sites are Pattaya Obsessions Bar where a lot of LB's you see on this website are there. It is next to Boy's Town where there are lots of very good shows. Lots of lonely boy studs looking for love. Go see the shows they are so cheap. No cover at all. they expect tips if you're kind. but Sois 7 and 8 are the main drag for ladyboys. I like Sunshine Hotel because it is very well lighted and good for photography. Still need extra lighting with umbrellas and flash/LED lights. Good free breakfast buffet every morning at 7 AM. Nearby Pig & Whistle opens at 9 AM. Too late. You will see why I have stayed there every year for the last 5. Oh yeah, NO joiner fee there last year so hope it stays that way. Funny this hotel always has vacancies even though it's the best one in the area. May not be so after Xmas so make your reservations NOW. Oh, I stay there for TWO months at a time. Gotta make two reservations of 30 days each. No problem. they know me there very well. They love the parade of the prettiest and youngest of the crop I choose and love taking their pictures for the hotel's records.

Yes the Sunshine Hotel and Residences are on Soi 8 in the same complex.

This picture i took of the ladyboys from King's Bar are all standing on Soi 8 in front of the Sunshine Residences.

Also King's bar is not really a ladyboy bar anymore (It's for sale)
Also Pattaya Obsessions was closed, last I heard.

KB and PO both closed? That leaves the Blue Lizard Bar next door downhill with its average stable. Sounds like my winter trip will become my last. Chan-ocha's plans to sanitize the nation and destroy corruption is succeeding. Been a good 5-year run. Might even cancel my trip entirely and just enjoy my collection of photos for my remaining years. Hate that when good things come to an end. Even Stickman Bangkok is sold and retiring to New Zealand.

I will report to you when I get there. My Bon Voyage report. Glad I never invested in any real estate of money ventures. Third world countries are bad places to invest in. Don't even want to marry 'em.

Kings bar is not closed they just decided to axe most of the ladyboys and have mostly ladies.
As a result their staff moved next door to the Blue Lizard bar, however this had already happened by last November.
They fielded a Ladyboy Volleyball team even though most of them did not work at King's Bar anymore.
The owner recently divorced his Thai wife and was looking to sell Kings Bar, he mentioned 5 million baht as a price.
It includes guest rooms and short time rooms up stairs.

Pattaya obsessions has been closed, not sure if it is reopening after renovations or possibly turning into some other type of bar or what.

                                Stickman is retiring?
                                Who is Stick Boy then?
After years commenting on Bangkok nightlife and sharing with us the most viral stories from the Thai web, Stickboy left Thailand and his social feeds went dark.

Not sure why buy real estate when renting in Thailand is so cheap.

My Girlfriend is staying at the Elio Del Ray Condos.
It is a 25sqm studio apartment with balcony and huge pool complex.
It is only 9000 baht per month and less than 1km to Punnawithi BTS station just two stops up from On Nut.
