  • Get it right first time...

In future ALL threads that are started with bad spelling or bad grammar or with vague titles or stupid and repetitive questions will be deleted.

    No questions, no comebacks.

Thanks for playing by our reasonable rules.

Recently we had a thread about Sophia in which the person who posted couldn't even manage to spell her fucking name correctly. Just now I renamed a thread simply called 'Kings Birthday.'

This forum is going to be modified to be easy to read and search through for the majority of the members NOT the few halfwits who can't be arsed to post correctly. So if you really do have something to say - get it right first time.

(And please don't PM me with questions about what's good or whyyou got deleted. I get 10 PMs a day and I never even read most of them.)

The only people who can get away with breaking the rules are those members who have been here a while.

Happy Christmas from my teddy called Mohammed!

I say old man! That's a bit harsh.

What about people for whom English is their second (3rd, 4th...) language?

Now that the Spelling Police are going to be enforcing the law will we lose people like Dieter?

Merry Christmas Mohammed, please try to cheer SB up a little.

I find it correct and right (though I am in deep shit since I am not a english native speaker and thus mistakes are expected from me) ....

I hope you are more elastic towards not english speakers

It only takes a few seconds to pick up a dictionary and look a word up for spelling and meaning...I am an English speaker and I do it all the time...
Moreover, there are plenty of online dictionaries that are very simple to use...even for an idiot like me...Play with a little pride guys...

Exactly. Fucking stupid rule - about the only one who will be left here will be Lisa Winkler.

And do you really thing non-English speakers are going to pick up a dictionary and make sure their grammar is perfect for a porno site??

PS - I believe 'Kings Birthday.' should have an ' between g and s....so could we immediately delete this thread and get back to normal

I'm wondering if the php version of Ikonboard (if/when it comes) will have a spell checker integrated. vBulletin has a spell checker but the change-over to that has been shelved apparently.

Maybe one of the members with a penchant for programming could write SB a little Christmas present?

For those with the knowledge is it really that hard to write something for Ikonboard to check with a dictionary in a MySQL database? I had a quick look and couldn't find much out there at all.

I know I check a few long wordz with a dicshunary but not all of them.

Where is the Wizard when you need him?

                        some confusion here I think:

                          Dear Mr Pedantic,

If you are, in fact, refering to my post then my apologies for not having the sufficient ESP to realise that a post simply enquiring as to whether or not Guess Bar would be open on the King's Birthday should have been called something more in depth than 'King's Birthday'.

Let me think now... I want to ask this question about Guess Bar.

Perhaps the Guess Bar forum would be the place. Yes, that seems about right.

And the subject matter... hmmm tricky... it's about the King's Birthday so perhaps, well, 'King's Birthday' might just suffice.

Obviously not. Apologies for challenging the collective brain power of the BMs on that one. I forgot it's Friday and judging by the time quite a few ales might just have been consumed by those about to read such a perplexing post.

By the way, any schpelling mistooks are entirely intentional.

But if you were not refering to my post, I apologise - English isn't my first language.

                          Alba ga brath...
