Extrapolation for determining anything at all in LOS is doomed from the very beginning as you have to factor in the "Mai Bpen Rai" exponent and then divide by the "TIT" denominator!!

Say no more, at 12 PM (Noon, mid-day) I doubt you'd find any post-ops in Soi Cowboy . But as you say, you haven't been there in a year so maybe your observations are out of date?

Midnight, Shark, Suzy Wong, Long Gun, Sheba have at least 30 post-ops working, after 9 PM (21:00). Not all dance a regular shift. At Midnight Bar they are a bit too tall and are not allowed to dance as they stand-out too much. They tend to work the bar area.

I acknowledge(d) my "100" figure may be in error. I will make an effort over the next ~ 4 weeks to get a more accurate figure.

My 'expert' is my sister-in-law, a post-op. The '100' came from her, and I agree she might have been over-estimating the situation. I also understand Thai reasonably well so factored in over-heard conversations with managers and mamasans into my estimation.

Any estimates on the number of post-ops at NEP? Erotica used to have at least 5, and Mandarin (middle floor) has at least three as of a few weeks ago. Voodoo must have, what 5? And I am blanking on some of the other bar names, ground floor left by stairs has ~ 5.

Ground floor left in NEP is Lollipop or maybe there is an "s" at the end. Yes, they have about 4-5 postops working in there as well.

Surprising to hear about 30 postops working at Soi Cowboy, might have to wander over and check things out. I think your expert would have had little difficulty picking them out!

My considerate friends "warned" me about the Posties in Deja Vu, Midnight and Spice Girls in Cowboy. I haven't been to any of these myself - but was told they are there.

I realize my credibility is close to zero but...there is a rumor floating that a seasoned bar owner is considering a LB bar for Cowboy. I've heard everything from an all pre-op operation, to a mix of pre- and post-ops. Many contingencies and dependencies, and there does seem to be a general consensus on keeping Cowboy "all-girl" but maybe this will change? Will follow up with any rumors or hard news.

Was occupied with my companion and her friends during my recent visit to LOS so unable to check out Soi Cowboy and the postop lbs working there!

However, it seems the number of bars employing postops in Nana Plaza are growing!

G Spot is one that is new, Hollywood (beside Obsessions) on ground floor are recent additions to Lollipop, Mandarin (not sure if they still have the one working) and Voodoo. There might be a few more. According to my companion there are around 30 postop lbs working in the Nana Plaza gg bars. My companion said these lbs do not feel comfortable working the Patpong bars - either KC3 or KC and still want to earn good money. If you go into these bars they try to pass themselves off as ggs, but generally they are the best looking ones in the bar (for those of us who like postops). My companion says that the attractive ones can earn more money in the gg bars as more customers go into them than the lb bars.

She says in a good month an attractive postop can pull in 60,000 - 70,000 Baht. You may take this with a grain of salt as that would mean somewhere around 40 - 50 STs, 20-25 LTs (or a mix of the two) in a month, not including the lady drinks.

I recently spent a couple of days with a postie in S/pore, I've known her a long time since b4 her OP and she practically lives here, in between visits here she works in Soi Cowboy and plays it as a GG as she does in S/pore, usually using the rather clever trick (which she showed me) of mixing some lipstick with with water in the tube and making a stain on some tissue, a quick flash of this to the half drunk dunderhead in the dimly lit hotel is usually enough to get away with a quick hand job or feeble BJ and its on to the next punter
Contrary to some other posts the money they make over here hasnt gone down, she was fuckin rolling in it. I went with her to Vivo City and she spent S$1000 in no time (of her own money that is), and that was before lunch.

About ten years ago, Cowboy had a few bars with LBs and a couple were top notch, too. You might find one or two at Dundee Bar (on the same side as Rawhide somewhere near the middle of the street. May have changed its name)but that's about it. I haven't seen any others working in the bar for at least a year. You do get some working the street at closing time, and a few on the corner of Sukhumvit and Soi 23. Watch out for them as some are also pickpockets.

Summary: Last night I thought about going down to Nana because I was super horny. Instead I stayed home and did my laundry. In other words, I'd rather do chores than suffer through the chore of wading though all the CRAP in order to find the one or two diamonds-in-the-shit who occassionally flit through the NEP scene (and then are usually gone after a month or two because they can't stand it there either).

Cascades is too Japanese tourist oriented for my liking, but in fairness not all the LBs there try to look like a hentai wetdream.

Obssessions is pretty much the same, which is hardly surprising as they have (had?) the same owner. At least both bars make an effort to serve a wide variety of drinks and the prices aren't over the top.

Temptations is very hit and miss. I've bar fined a few that have been great in every sense. I've also had to fend off some dogs.

Casanova isn't my kind of bar. It's been a long time since they had anyone there I fancied and even longer since it was worth the visit.

That said, all of them are still much better than Guess. It's true the bar fine is 100 baht less than the NEP bars. That's where the advantages end, as far as I'm concerned. Mind you, I'm not keen on playing pool so maybe I'm biased.

I suppose congratulations are in order to the owners for finding a new location where the toilet is less than 100 yards from the bar. That short stroll down a dingy corridor and into a dirty cockroach infested shithole is a distinct improvement on previous arrangements. Let's not forget the pleasure of being hassled non stop by some of Sukhumvit's skankiest LBs. And if your tastes run to that kind of recreation, a short time hotel is a short taxi ride away.

It's occurred to me that it's probably in my interests if most of the readers disagree with my assessment. That way, you lot get the dubious pleasures of Guess and I get a free run at the much better bars in NEP.
