Having read the entire thread, I would encourage everyone to re-read aperrry's post #31...these LB's are professionals whose job it is to make money from their customers. This is not an emotional relationship...it is a physical one. Plus...Thailand is a third world country where money and corruption rule the day. I am very familiar with the Philippines, having done business there since 1995 and you have to understand one thing....in the third world you play by their rules...there are no laws that really will protect you.

I'm sorry, but if anything like this ever happened to me, I'd be spending my time online booking a ticket home. I've been preaching the virtues of privacy and control in my thread on "How to Fall in Love", and here--ladies and gentlemen--is proof that I'm right.

I've said it time and time again that if you let a hooker (especially a ladyboy hooker) into your personal life, then you are intentionally inserting chaos and mayhem into your life and you should know better!

I got slagged for being a manipulative "control freak", but after reading this thread, who can blame me?  Honestly, does it matter who is telling the truth in this thread???  I'm sure it matters a lot to SamplerDoc and Pond, but to the rest of us, does it?  No.  But no matter whose "side" you believe, it's blatantly obvious that the whole situation amounts to a big stinking pile of: DRAMA.

SamplerDoc, you could have avoided 90% of this mess by simply following the advice I laid out in my other thread.  Getting a second phone, renting a "fuck flat" (or in your case, using hotel rooms exclusively and NEVER taking any ladyboy back to your room), never using your real name, etc....  All of these things would have helped you avoid the mess you are currently in (and really, you only have yourself to blame for it because you didn't take the necessary precautions).

And before someone jumps on me and says, "Hey, how can you say it's HIS fault that a psychotic whore slashed his bike?!?"  Well, I can, because it is.

Look, if I knowingly handle plutonium without the necessary precautions then it's my own damn fault when that hunk of plutonium kicks the shit out of me.  True, the plutonium did me in, but it's just doing what plutonium does. I'm the fool for messing around with it.

Likewise, ladyboys, especially the bargirl-variety, are the distilled essence of chaos.  Messing around with them is a hell of a lot of fun, because it's just as risky as snake-wrangling or bungee-jumping.  The risk is part of the "thrill".  But just because it's fun to tangle with the forces of chaos now and then, that doesn't mean I want to INVITE IT INTO MY ROOM.

There is a huge difference between butterflying a bunch of hookers all up and down the Pattaya strip, and inviting one of them home with you!!!  One is a bit of controlled fun (you pay, you play, you amscray), and the other is a bit of irresponsible recklessness.

Holy crap, you might as well invite a Bengal tiger over to your room.  What the hell were you thinking bringing home a hooker with a bad tit job?  That's pretty much handing the keys to your LIFE and saying, "Here, please FUCK WITH ME."

Let's make a list, shall we?

1) You've had your bike trashed.    Would that have happened if you were taking taxis to ensure privacy?  No.

Oh, and by the way.  Pond's name isn't the only one on that police report.  Your name is on there too (as the victim).  Which means you're officially on the books as a "ladyboy john".  Welcome to the lowest rung that a farang can sink to in Thai society, and you can kiss any hope of a "normal" life in Thailand good-bye.  "Decent" people will have nothing to do with you, because you've had the enormous misfortune of having your personal sex-life aired in public.  

Thai men, of course, are ten times bigger philanderers than we'll ever be, but they retain the illusion of "decency" by taking great pains to avoid exactly the situation you're in right now.  So in the eyes of Thai people, your sin isn't getting involved with ladyboy hookers, your sin is airing your dirty laundry in public.  If you had any (non-bar, non-tourist-blood-sucking) Thai friends, they probably won't come within 10ft of you anymore.

2) You're getting daily calls and/or threats on your phone.  Would that have happened if you'd used a secondhand fuck-phone?  No.  

You'd just chuck the SIM in the bin and move on.  Giving your phone number to one ladyboy is the same as giving it to all of them, so it's best to keep your REAL phone number private.

3) You've had your name outted on the LB69 forums.  Would that have happened if you'd used a pseudonym?  Yes.  

Some fucking wise-ass GIT would still do it, but at least then you could laugh about it.  For example, "Doug" is the pseudonym for my pseudonym's pseudonym!  And if I ever have the misfortune (just kidding, heheh) of meeting a forum member in the pub, when he asks me my real name, I'm going to look him straight in the eye and LIE.  And if anyone wants to criticize me about that, I'll just point to SamplerDoc's case as my justification.  Because there's always some fucking twig out there who thinks he can "befriend" ladyboys by ratting out board members.  

So I'll jealously protect my privacy to the best of my ability as long as I can, and all you twads who were calling me "paranoid" in my thread can bite me.  SamplerDoc's case proves beyond a shadow of a doubt that it is EXTREMELY unwise to give anyone in the P4P scene (on either side) real information about your life.  I caught heat about not wanting to be in photos at the Guess Bar, I caught heat about not giving hookers my real name, and I caught heat about changing the details of my stories to preserve my privacy.  And what I want to know, right now, is where are those gits who criticized me for taking such precautions?  You think everyone on these forums is an upstanding guy who'd never sell you out to a ladyboy stalker in hopes of getting a freebie from her?  Then you're as naive as all those fools who "fall in love" with plutonium in the first place.

If I used real names and locations in my TRUE stories about my philandering, you can bet that it'd only be a matter of time before some jealous fuck in these forums was ringing up those girls and saying, "Look what he's writing about you!"  If I had a pic taken of me at the Guess Bar and then got into flame war with someone, you can bet it'd be a matter of hours before they'd be emailing that photo to my mom or my boss or my girlfriend (not that she'd care, but still, not everyone is so lucky).

4) You've got a stalker.  Would that have happened if you'd kept your home address private?  No. Would that have happened if you'd exercised of control over your "relationship" with that girl?  NO.

I caught a tremendous amount of flak for wanting to "control" my "relationship" with "Lolita" (whew, that's a lot of finger-quoting, I'm going to get carpal-tunnel if I keep that up!).  But as SamplerDoc has unfortunately proven, it is a wise thing to do.  Of course, Stogie probably has the best idea (just keep things on a pay-play-amscray basis and don't get too personal about it).  But for those of us, like me, who are weary of the bars, then a "personal relationship" with a steady girl has a certain appeal.

However, it is borderline suicidal to enter into a "relationship" with a ladyboy-bargirl without first taking some precautions.  I realize that some of the guys who come to Thailand are "on their way out", so they don't really care if shit blows up in their faces.  But for those of us who are looking at a few more decades in this scene, it pays to pace yourself before throwing your whole life away on one bleached-blonde ladyboy with lopsided tits.

Imagine, for a moment, if SamplerDoc had followed my advice on "How to Fall in Love".  So in that alternate reality, he keeps an apartment in Pattaya, but never, ever takes girls back to it.  Instead he takes them to hotels or back to their place for night games.  He tells all the girls that his name is "Doug" because Thai girls mispronounce it as "Dog" and they find it incredibly funny to meet someone named "Dog" (its actually really insulting, but heck, why not let the girls THINK they are secretly insulting you, it gives them a false sense of superiority, which loosens their armor a bit).

Suddenly, he meets an exceptionally good fuck, named Pond, who is just crazy enough to be entertaining while at the same time being totally hot and "into him" (or his wallet, but let's not be picky).  He wants to "long-time" her, but doesn't want to violate the sanctity of his "personal space", so instead of taking her back to his place, he rents a cheap apartment near the action and tells her that he lives there.

After a few months of wacky hijinks, Pond starts overdosing on her hormones (or ice, or her EGO), and suddenly SamplerDoc has a crazy, homicidal stalker on his hands.  So what does he do about it?  Involve the police?  Heck no! He just dumps that apartment and goes back to hoteling it.  Pond can stalk his fuck-flat all she wants, she's not going to be able to follow him home to trash his shit if she doesn't know where he really lives.  The worst she can do is cause trouble for him in the bar,  but if he's smart, he'll just lay low for a few weeks, live a "normal" life with real Thai people, and then venture out to the bar scene after Pond has moved on to the next punter.  Granted, this isn't foolproof, but it's certainly better than the situation he is currently in.  Yes, it's true that Pattaya is a small town and everyone knows everyone (and has probably slept with everyone too), but even so it's possible to get a bit of anonymity and privacy if you're careful about it.  I'm pretty sure there are normal Thai neighborhoods, even in Pattaya, and if SamplerDoc had set himself up there, he'd never have to worry about accidentally running into Pond on his way to 7-11.  Right now, I've got a pretty regular thing going with "Lolita", but if she ever pulled a Pond on me, all I'd have to do is... stop seeing her.  It's that simple.  She has no way of finding my real address, and there is absolutely zero chance of her accidentally wandering into my neighborhood.  So if the bit of plutonium inside her suddenly had a meltdown, I'd just go back to my neighborhood and stay off Sukhumvit for a few months.  I'm not familar with Pattaya's layout, but there MUST be a quiet, bargirl-free neighborhood somewhere around that city.  So I recommend that SamplerDoc find a new place to live and stay out of the P4P scene until Pond finds something better to do with her time.  And in the future, he should learn from this lesson (as we all should) and do a bit more to protect his anonymity and privacy.  The P4P scene is NOT a playground and Pattaya is not Disneyland.  So walking around with that tourist-invulnerabilty-syndrome is a bit naive and foolhardy.  SamplerDoc, after a few years in Thailand, should know better by now.
