I agree with what Stogie and some of the others have said over the past few nights during are insightful discussions at Guess Bar.....

"We don't want to know, it will probably just piss us off knowing anyway what they were really saying".

Plus, in our own devious little minds, don't we all want to hope they are thinking the best of us?

I sat for hours last night with Nui and she was rambling off to Mimi and Bang about me and my big #^*& then would smile back at me. Now if I knew what she was really saying, it may not have been as wonderful a night as I feel it was. But I'm a newbie to Guess Bar...what do I know....hahaha.

What a great forum! Not only are the pics great, we get great advice on how to deal with the crazy "land of smiles." I always listen to advice and love learning from other people's experience.

There are some very knowledgeable people on this forum regarding the Thai LB scene. I even consider them professors. All advice and experience is always appreciated.

I plan on going to Thailand in November, THANKS for all the help. Maybe I can buy a few beers for forum members when I am there.

I think the Thai LB's laugh all the way to the bank. They probably say "stupid falang, pay to much for ass, why they smell so bad, too hairy."

See I am learning, I know now it is not love even though they tell me they "love me long long time 2000 baht."

I hope for the best, plan for the worst...........I think we as "westerners" are probably way off base in trying to figure out an Asian culture....throw in the gender identity issue and I'm sure there is a huge gap between what we think and what they say/think. Westerners are planners and Thai people let "destiny" plan for them....our futures are light years apart..we look forward and plan for "retirement"..they look to the next day.

I would have to say that at least on the surface...not knowing what happens at home....that Mardhi has the best opportunity to hear and experience a Thai LB's feelings and comments with regards to us " round eyes". We're all ears for Jay's candid comments.

I study them a lot but doubt I would pass a theory exam. Maybe a practical one though

Back to the topic at hand, I agree with you it really shouldn't matter to us what they say about us, as long as they make us happy when we are with them.

As a lot of people have commented, they only tell us what they think we want to hear! We would never really know what they say about us as long as we are in their presence.
