What we are saying is what type of relationship is it. all but a few guys here dont have permanent LBGFs and just monger around probably due to the fact that by the hard laws of the real world it dont work out. otherwise we would be hearing about it a lot more.

Even in the western world the break up rate is about 50% so the odds arnt stacked in our favour...

There may be some truth in that...Her English is very poor and perhaps she is asking for help from some of the more experienced girls...I have to confess that I did buy her a gift...one of those cheap electronic dictionaries...but she has probably sold it already...

I always seem to pick girls who can't speak a lick of English...(damn I like the word lick)...

In fact...sitting at dinner one evening across the table from TTChang and his date...a girl I have know for some time...She (TTC's date) looked at me after a bit and asked..."Why you always pick girls who can't speak English?"

So I will give her the benefit of the doubt...I won't however, send her any money...

And yes, she is without a doubt, a real sweetheart...

Hey Kahuna, i hear you cause I'm in the same boat!

I remeber being with Dave and Stogie and their girls were Uni grads/students that spoke great English. Actually I could understand Dave's date better than I can understand Dave! Go Manchester United!

I was going to buy a Talking Dick for teerak, asked about bdifferent brands on the Forum, but after bringing her to the store she did not want one so no sense giving her something she doesn't want. She pointed to her head, said makes head hurt.

She doesn't use email anymore but she cannot read or write in English. Not too many guys on this forum can understand squiggly Thai either!

Only once i got an email hinting for money and the next day I got an email that didn't mention any money. My guess is she felt bad about the first email that she really didn't write anyway.

I'm not sure if it really matters if a girl speaks good English. You just find other ways to communicate and I'm not just talking about sex here.

I wish my new girl's English was as good as that date PD, that girl's English is perfect and her written English is too better than mine
Am's  English is very limited and I can hear her "wafting" the pages of her dictionary when we speak on the phone

TTChang's date is right...many of the girls I pick can't speak but a few words of English...But we don't seem to have any problems communicating...I'm not the most talkative of guys any way...so it all seems to work for a few days and then it's time to move on to another girl...

I find it's much better than having a girl who can speak English and won't shut the fuck up...

Yes but they like our money, and to them that is worth a lot, and allows them to put up with more.

I read here some time ago that there isn't a western style of love in Thailand, but it is more of a compromise. You take care of me (and my immediate family) and I will take care of you.

Also the idea that a 20 something ladyboy would find most of us unattractive is also a valid point. But the compromise is there too.

When in Thailand i want someone who will pretend to like me for the 10 days or so i am there. If, back in farangland, they continue to put the work in and call and sms and email, and you respond then you are giving them the impression you would see them again.

Is this behaviour any different than the way we go about procuring customers in our prospective businesses?
I know i treat my best customers as good friends, I would do almost anything for them, and call regularly to make sure all is well. From what i see they are doing exactly the same thing with their best customers, and by us sending cash or gifts , we are proving they are doing their jobs well.

I am not some green newbie, but i do like the attention of a few calls, the feeling of being wanted, and the fact that i will be met at the airport and taken care of for the entirity of my holidays. The fact that she has gone out of her way to call me goes a long way.

Maybe, as Buttafly and others have said, she doesnt like me, but she does a damn good job of pretending that she does, and thats what I am paying for.
