I saw some Government published figures within the last 90 days, and I remember the HIV rate for female sex workers (HIV prevalence among female direct and indirect commercial sex workers) was 35 per 1,000, down from pervious levels. Not sure if the figure for LB's would be greater or lesser?

Hep A, B, HSV-2, HPV figures are, if my recollection is correct, quite a bit higher.

Someone mentioned that LB's cannot have cosmetic/plastic surgery if they test positive for HIV. AFAIK, this is not correct. SRS cannot, AFAIK, be performed if the patient tests positive for HIV, but additional payments might remove that barrier?

Are you all outthere wearing condoms that fits 100% perfectly and never ever slips down leaving skin-to-skin contact with the LBs' anal area?
Are you all wearing dental dams when giving oral/rimming, or asking the LBs to do so? Are you NEVER having direct skin-to-skin contacts with the inguinal/anal region of the LBs?
Do you avoid any tongue-to-tongue kissing with LBs?
Now, if you have answered YEs to all of the four above questions, perhaps you can be somehow relieved that chances for you to get any STD are remote...

The trend is definitely in the direction of more bareback sex. Both in Thailand and Australia. This has been my experience over the last 10 years (a dozen trips).

If this trend is correct & continues then inevitably STD's will increase.

Before the AIDs era started prostitutes never used condoms (in Australia). I believed there was very high rate of urinary tract infections.

As a tourist, I would not go bareback. Perhaps local residents would have an extra advantage of selecting low risk partners.

Yes, condoms can break, yes you may get skin/skin exposure if the condom doesn't fit perfectly - but for AIDs transmission it is exposure to bodily fluids that is the major factor. Condom usage will reduce the odds of that happening. That is not to mention all the other STDs that are circulating around, the old standby gonorrhea (but now becoming resistant to penicillin), chlamdyia (also becoming resistant to standard antibiotic treatment), syphillis, etc., etc.

So do you want to live fast and possibly die young? It's up to you. We are responsible for our own actions, but also remember that if you become infected it is not only your life you are responsible for, but all those you have sex with after.

Just some things to consider. Now load 5 bullets into the chambers and let's play!

well, as   I said in that poll  thread and completely honestly;  Intimacy is something we all enjoy and in fact is a basic human need and emotion.
