Most relationships even between two farangs of equal age and status end in letdown. So no surprise that it happens between farangs with Thais half their age with a language barrier to boot.

Before the Long term i think you should try a short term and think no longer than that for starters. Just take someone you like away on a trip for a few days and then contemplate ...can i handle another year of her or can she handle me.....just dip your toe in the water...

Stogie is right, but so are the other members warning of you of a wild ride (and not the kind you probably have in mind). In my experience, I actually met several ladyboys who were very nice, kind, well-educated, etc... For these girls, money didn't seem to be an issue, but to be honest, they were few and far between. For every good one I found, I saw 10 to 15 rotten ones whose thirst of baht couldn't be quenched. Always keep both eyes open and be patient, and I think you can find what you are looking for.
