If the fatwa-against-sex-change-surgery sect truly cared about LB, they would not pay them for sex. Prostituting oneself is not healthy, psychologically or otherwise. But I fear that the "altruistic compassion" of the dick-worshipers is inseparable from their sex interests (as I said before, if a dick-worshipper did not pay money to worship dicks, he might be more credible when advocating on behalf of another individual's dick...)

Live and let live is always a good policy. If someone wants to have SRS, that must be a personal decision. Nobody is more qualified to say what is best for a LB's own body than she. Even if 300 million dick-worshipers allied with Pat Robertson chant Deuteronomy 23:1 or cry out for Jesus, a LB should still have individual autonomy on issues affecting her own body, including the decision to have SRS.

Given that this issue is one all will have to agree to disagree about, and given that this thread is now most notable for simple-minded name calling ("pricks" and "troglodytes") and cries for religious intervention ("Jesus"), I think it is time to raise a Singha in honour of the true goddesses of Thailand, lock the thread and move on.

I agree with POL and Sangabriel. This Forum is a place to educate, inform, enlighten and entertain, and of course promote the main site! There will be differences of opinion, that hopefully do not degenerate into personal attacks.

Having reread some of the prior posts replying to the points made about SRS, there seems to be some blurring of discussion between the specific case JD was recounting, and generalizing to those who prefer postop lbs.

I am sure that most of those who prefer postops on this forum would never advocate pressuring an lb to have SRS, I know I never would.

In the end it is their own decision, hopefully done for the right reasons.

Transgenderism has been alive and well in SE Asia for centuries. Why do you think Thailand is the World leader in Sex Change operations? Because there is a huge demand, and not just from Thais. People from all over the world come here for the up to date3 techniques and pioneering work.

I would guess there is a very small minority of those who have second thoughts. Most transexuals have spent a lifetime living in the wrong body.

People in this thread have brought in points from all over the place that have nothing to do withthe central poitn that JaiDee and I were originally talking about.

1. I am not religious, I do not believe in god.
2. I have made distinction between cutting of dick and all the other surgery options people have mentioned SEVERAL times. There is no point in repeating it if you didn't read it the first time.
3. I admitted openly that it is not an easy issue for me because I do believe in personal freedom and responsibility, and "buyer beware".
4. The part that makes me angry is treating others like items in a shop window and having no concern for them just for the basic fact because they are human beings.
5. I don't have to commit murder to have a moral opinion on murder, or steal money to have a moral opinion on theft.
6. I do apologize for going apoplectic. The self-centered approach of "I don't care, because I am paying them" just set me off.
