I still don't see anything about counseling for the future. So, that poor LB was left to go home and bemoan the fact that a male friend was horrified that she had SRS, and a female friend was giggling about the operation. Wow, speaking of prize-winners...

A friend of mine is going blind, and has had several unsuccessful surgeries. His friends aren't telling him "Gee, that really sucks. It's a shame that the surgeries have all sucked so far." They're also not looking at him and saying "Gee, sorry we won't be able to hang out anymore and you can't come to the movies or drive." Instead, they're comforting him, and instead of offering false hope, either offering to be there when he needs them, or to listen when he needs it. Loneliness is often the worst feeling in the world, and I suspect is a more frequent predecessor to suicide than feelings of regret; hell, even hopelessness is probably subordinate to loneliness.

Stogie and Rxpharm are doing fine on correcting ignorance on post-op matters. If others are determined to be pigheaded, so be it, neither they nor I will expend any time trying change that, and we can coexist harmoniously (at least I'm harmonious ). Instead, it would be more interesting to me to know what others would do if they were told that some LB had announced she felt devastated by such a decision. Who votes for public humiliation? Hmmm? Perhaps the stocks? A scarlet letter? Maybe a "this could be you" ad somewhere?

I'm guessing that we're all hypocrites to say "you guys are fetishists and I'm not". LBs are definitely outside the mainstream, like it or not. Pre or post-op, it doesn't matter. I know I like pussy. In addition, I've had more sex with posties than with GGs. If anyone else can claim that distinction, I'd like to meet you.

I don't know if pigheaded is the right word.

It seems some are approaching this issue with a zeal and fervor for self-righteously knowing and proclaiming what is best for others.

There seems to be a religiosity in all this condemnation of sex change surgery.

The god squad can quote you plenty of examples of individuals who became unhappy when they strayed from Jesus, just like some can quote examples of LB who became unhappy when they blasphemed the Holy Penis and cut themselves off.

Lots of misinformation on this thread, and I'm glad Stogie, Rx and Snick tried to clear some of it up.

There's zero doubt post-ops for $2000 surgeries have orgasms. I've been with 2 the last couple of months. And you are right JaeDee, the Doctors are gods in Thailand. Spend a few hours on the internet researching this and you'll find most Americans look at Thai doctors as idols.

Also, there's zero doubt many girls want this from birth, including probably, Kif, and Kib in Phuket who had the chop 3 weeks ago, and Lin, Dab, Dow, of Phuket, and 1/2 the girls in KC3, ...

I agree Ziggy, but it seems that opinions are polarized on these issues with a myopic fervour standing in the way of facts and common sense.

It's almost like some of these posters have religion... A 'knowledge' and belief of things that facts can't support.
