There are a wide range of prices quoted for SRS (for Thais), that range from the low range of around 80,000 Baht (as you have quoted) to upwards of 150,000 - 200,000 Baht.

I am not suggesting the best doctors are those who charge more, but there are some skilled doctors in Thailand who can do an excellent job.

JD, I expect you have met many more postop lbs than I have, and you said have been intimate with a very few. It seems to me that you have not met one who has gone to a skilled doctor, and has taken the time to follow the postop care necessary to have a good result.

I will bet you a months wages that these girls did NOT do their post-op routines correctly and that they brought this upon themselves.

Holes only close if they are not kept open! The girls are told this and are given an assortment of candles and a strict and detailed regimen of exercise to ensure that this 'closing' does not happen. If they don't do it, or start fucking too early then of course the holes will have 'merged walls' as a result.

If these girls are getting another operation to get things "fixed" I'll also wager that they are not taking care of themselves as they should be doing.

It's an incredibly difficult operation to recover from and requires a lot of work on the part of the person having the operation. It's not a broken bone that heals itself.

Sorry, JaiDee - I'm not buying these sob stories one bit. It's too easy to lay the blame on the surgeons. I'm not saying that bad operations never happen. I'm sure there is a high percentage of mistakes.

Kui wasn't 'talked out of it!' She made a conscious decision that she didn't want it done. I would have supported her either way. She's not wooly minded enough to rely on other people telling her what's best for her. She's a smart girl - she doesn't need help from me or any of us to decide whether or not to get her tadger sliced off!

That's not to say she wasn't polite enough to listen to my/our opinions! In fact I was deliberately vague about the whole thing so that I wouldn't have any undo influence over her.

I was the same way with Gif at first. Her family tried to rush her into it and she held off till she was sure. In Gif's case I ended up encouraging her to do it. She was born both sexes and had operations in Bangkok at a very early age to correct her unusual genetalia.

that may be  true, and I wasn't taking credit for Chom either, some friends convinced her it was not the way to go so I applaud them.  I thought  that you had helped Kui change her mind, sorry if I was wrong;  but again, whoever did should be applauded.

        Family may be a factor but I believe most of the girls who decide against it are just tired of hearing the stories from their friends about "ting tong" ladyboys who are cut, I hear it all the time myself.  You hear enough of those....and it probably just convinces themselves to say "hey, maybe since like 50 people have told me this is not good maybe I should just stay the way I am and make myself happy".

I was exercising restraint and not commenting, but I was asked to comment so here goes.

My take is this

Not all Ladyboys are the same, some really really want SRS and have always wanted it. If they have the means they should do it, and it's actually better for them to get it done around 25, since physically it will help them maintain their femininity for life.

A second (and probably larger) group is those on the fence, they want to be ladyboys but don't necessarily want to have SRS, but they can be talked into it. The third group is those who definitely want to keep their dick.

Remember these are twenty year olds, and Thai twenty years old are a lot more immature than western 20 year olds (all sexes - its a factor of the upbringing and education system [1] ). And obviously they are gender confused to begin with.
A rich older man who promises to take care of them for life and make her his 'wife' CAN CONVINCE a girl to have SRS who would not otherwise do it, or do it at that point. But any man who does this is Garbage in my mind, ESPECIALLY since they never follow thru on the 'take care of you for life' part.

If a girl really wants it and has wanted it since she is 5, the n go for it. If the girl is talked into it or does it thinking she can make more money then I feel really sorry for the girl and I feel contempt for the person who influenced her.
