I still wonder about the label of TGs and gays as having mental disorders. Do Down's syndrome kids have mental disorders? I think their situation is as genetic as gays and TGs. It's just that gays and TGs are much luckier - their intellect and social capacity is by no means affected by the part of the brain regulating sexual orientation.

Just thinking out loud here, but...if gayness is genetic, ladyboy lovers would apparently not fit any clinical definition of "gay" as it seems difficult to believe that a gene exists attracting a man specifically to ladyboys and not to gay men.

Well, that was an interesting thought brought out here.

As you may know, I am violently against the "it's nurture" crap statement. 90% of LBs are LBs at age 5, a very large number in rural macho settings, not exactly havens to raise an effeminate LB.

Anyhow, but let me twist my mind to say it's nurture, which pains me, then, of course, it would imply we have all been nurtured to love LBs, because surely if a LB gender orientation was nurtured, then our sexual orientation was nurtured. However, with my macho village background, playing hockey near every week of my life, I'm failing to find a nurturing environment in that.

Now taking the opposite tack, and I know I'm right in LBs being nature, it raises the question were we all born with nature that gave us this sexual orientation? Inquiring minds need to know!

Actually, I think our sexual orientation is reinforced by our prior experiences. If we see some hot black woman, we may want more of the same. If we see a hot LB, we want more of the same. It might take a little effort to get over the initial hump (so to speak), but we remain fixated for awhile afterward.
