Report as promised.  Got in under the radar!

Nang Fah Resort:

A very smart place, last night with a variety of attractive staff (for the evening or permanent, not sure) looking after guests at the soft opening.  Met a few girls from Stringfellows there, and one of Mystery Shopper's favourites from Blue Room.  Quite a good turn out of TLF Board Members I recognised.  Buffet food excellent, esp the laap moo.

Comfortable lounge area, with some attractive bedrooms and en-suites (unfortunately not fully field-tested, but the large jacuzzi is on our to-do list).  Splendid place for holding a party ('very small Bash' probably!), the central pool area is an ideal focus.  Certainly has the 'Wow' factor.

So first impressions very positive.  Locating the place was a pain until you know where it is, so some guidance on transport / taxi directions (in thai) are needed.  We presume the 'average' paying guest won't get fussed to use a songteaw, but NFR is quite close to Sukhumvit Road if coming from Pattaya.

As TTChang says, it will be interesting to see how this place is marketed, priced, and who are the likely customers. I have a few concerns about presentation of this type of venue, which I hope the proprietors have fully anticipated.  Marketing is essential, but they want to attract reliable and repeat customers, not any other sort of .... interest.

Don't be surprised if things go rather quiet (discrete) from now on.

Our main goal was to get people like yourselves to attend the soft opening.

Found Asian housing project with a bar gate and a guard but eventually gave up.

You were at the right place alright and if you would have been there at around 1 am you could have joined a little private party with some BM's and EZY girls ( X, Karn and Oil).
Still testrunning and as said we are not open yet.

However unless we inform the security that there will be guests coming in you will porbably not get in unannounced.
This also has to do with the discretion that we wish to provide.

However there will be a next party already on this Monday for Loy Kratong.

After evaluation we have concluded it is more likely that Nang Fah will be a private club than a short time place.
So the best word to describe it could be a super lb friendly private mini resort -only 4 rooms.

Guys like Roscco and TT Chang worded it correctly: seeing is believing ...

I had the chance to see the resort on its soft opening night. It looked much much better than I had expected from the pics on this thread.

The most obvious problem seems to be transportation. The question is whether someone checking into a resort wants to go there by Baht bus or motorbike service. Personally I think that an ac-cab-transfer should be offered door to door or at least SF - resort. At additional cost of course. I mean you want to arrive in style with the lady of your choice and not be all sweaty and dusty already from a Baht bus ride.

Although I assume that the owners who are supposedly pros in the biz, have figured out their marketing strategy, I see a bit of a problem if 4 different parties rent the 4 available rooms. As the resort lives off its socializing areas - bar, pool, lounge, etc. - it depends very much whether those 4 different parties will get along and work it out who uses what at what time. No problem if it is a group booking.

The big risk I see here is like with many other businesses - in the beginning they can make business off their friends and friends of those friends who give it a try but this wears off after some time and then you need new customers.

Ideas that would come to my mind is something like a lb-club - wouldn't have to be the same every day, this could also run on weaker days. A certain number of lbs are there and available. Guests arrive and pay an entrance fee for buffet and use of facilities. This is the biz for the club. Then they arrange their required number of short times with the gals directly, use the room and so on. I would try a so-called "Short-time Night" once a week and see whether it works. I have seen such clubs in Mexico and back in Europe. I don't know whether it becomes a legal problem here in Thailand.

Theme nights would be good as well ...

Well, good luck and I guess we will all look very curiously at the development of the resort. But I think transportation and chemistry between guests will be key issues.

Observing from far far away I also noticed that not only my eyes were on her at the party.
