(FB-lover! @ Feb. 12 2010,17:48) Again, I just don't understand these stories.  I had one very bad experience with the Mamasan(s) at Carnival, but the girls themselves...never a bad time.  In a place like Cascades, if you're careful and cool with yourself, not to be rushed and no hard feelings towards anyone - then it's basically going to be a pretty easy night.  It's SE Asia - show no anger.  Show no frustration, or you're dead meat, even at the food stand.

All I hear every night from my gf is 'vely boling, no customah'.  There are an army of beautiful girls there who would be very willing to provide a ejoyable evening, if they think they've found a respectful and fun person to get paid a little bit from.

What I said was that I've had a run of bad luck out of Cascades recently. The girls seem one way when you meet them in the bar (or on the street after work), but once they get back to the hotel they morph into PITAs (pains in the ass).

I have an extremely low tolerance for bullshit, and so the minute the pita-girl starts into her "you pay me now" shit, I head for the door. And the reason I head for the door is because past experience has taught me a valuable lesson: "if she's giving you problems before you even get your shoes off, then it will only esculate from there."

That's a fact. Period.

No amount of "cool, calm-headedness" is going to prevent the shitstorm that is about to happen, and so the only option is to cut your losses and get the fuck out of Dodge.

So please save the self-righteous lectures on how to behave in SEAsia. That "army of willing, beautiful girls just looking for a good time with a nice guy" is your delusion, not mine. You might live in a candy-coated fantasyland where there are no drug-addicts or mentally-unstable loons working in the p4p scene, but the rest of us are slogging through the muck, and so occassionally we get a bit dirty.

I'm often baffled why these girls don't bother with the simple route. It seems to me that a quick fuck-and-pay would be easier than all the drama involved in trying to rob/extort some poor tourist schmuck. But then I remember two things:

1) Ladyboys LOVE drama. Why miss an opportunity to scream "ihea! ikwai!" at someone? Why take the easy way when the hard way provides so much opportunity for a SHOW?

2) Criminally-minded ladyboys are not smart or sensible (and quite often, not sane). So they're not going to do the right thing no matter how "respectful" their customer is.

The answer might be surprisingly simple: for them it is the easiest money of all. Just one small phrase rings their cash register:

You buy me a drink and I will stop bothering you and go away ok? cha-ching

You buy my friend a drink too ok? cha-ching

You give me tip? cha-ching

No, not enough. You give me 2000 baht more ok? cha-ching

You give me money for taxi too ok? cha-ching

It's just too easy like low hanging fruit. Most guys it seems do it to either reward them or prevent a fuss. They have experience hundreds of times and can easily coax out what they want, gently or with the right pressure applied. It is a minefield however. Get the wrong guy and swords cross when their easy money is not working out to plan and some may just raise the ante until something gives because that usually works out in their favor too.

Some are nice, many are not. Even the non p4p. Once they get the taste for farang money, anything goes. Especially this myth that 'I'm a lady so I can hit you but you can't hit back'...

to make sure to have good experience and avoid the bullshit, why not just get girls with good reputation and have good reviews and feedbacks?

you cant deny the fact that its also your own fault for choosing and risking yourself getting a low price girl or a girl who works on the street or a girl who works in a creepy bar

always remember theres a big possibility that youll get what you pay for
