Yah, and if in one of those "moments" they happen to destroy someone's life in a fit of rage or jealousy, I'm sure you'd still stand by them and excuse their behavior. You're loyal to your friends, and that's admirable, but I'm just trying to help the guys here avoid the lasting damage one of those "moments" can leave.
It cuts both ways Doug..are you not the guy who claimed some post-op
was devastated by her bf making her have the op and doing a runner?
You are more than aware that some guys promise the world and fail to
deliver, and that some guys are violent (through jealousy)
Please point out where I criticized your behavior. What you do with your time and your lovers is entirely up to you. To each his/her own, right? If you must know, I've had somewhere in the range of 500 to 1000 sex partners in my years (I'm not entirely sure). I'm not saying that's better or worse than you, but it's definitely more experienced, correct?
I never said you did criticize my behaviour, i was just making a point that
despite my friends jobs i do not involve myself in the seedier side of life.
Well, you're not a customer. Try paying those girls for their companionship and you'll see a significant shift in the dynamic of your friendship with them
Yes,sure, but the point is that all qualities you would want in a relationship
they DO posses, even if they have worked in a bar...
What's a more realistic view of a bargirl? when they are working or what
they are like away from the scene in a non BS environment?
I never assumed that. But there you go again, rushing to defend the girls without paying attention to what I'm saying to the guys.
Who's not paying attention? I said "when these relationships fail there is an automatic assumption around here that the girls intentions was sinister"
Where is that say Doug assumes?..so there YOU go again.
You look at my dire warnings about getting emotionally mixed up with these girls and you think I'm pinning all the blame on the girls. However, you're ignoring the fact that more often that not, I'm pinning most of the responsibility for the trainwrecks on the GUY
No,i am not blind to you blaming the guys..we disagree on weather these
girls can love or not (thats sort of what this thread is about)weather a bar girl is a worthy partner or not..
You do put a slant (like the meth-head opening) on things you are
bias as much as me...
Phfffttt!
I don't need to buy my daughter a car either-i did it out of love,no
bribe no strings...
Yep, and that's exactly why I accurately say you've got on rose-colored glasses.
I'm not hellbent on demoralizing guys, but neither am I going to participate in enabling their DELUSIONS (which you seem to do).
There you go again DELUSIONS..
you are convinced these relationships don't work ...
You are assuming every guy who meets a girl is a monger..
trust me Doug i haven't met a monger who's married one
of my friends...They do judge mongers as not worth the hassle..
Yah, that would be fun. But I don't think you'd be able to keep your hands off me.
There you go again assuming stuff-i haven't strangled a guy in years
(thaibound @ Nov. 07 2009,12:41) you can fit all the people i have slept with in 500 Fiats.
simulfuckingtaneously too, by golly.
though i'm not so sure about their luggage
(doug @ Nov. 07 2009,07:49) Then, after the inevitable trainwreck, they get on here and tell their sob story in an attempt to gain our sympathy (when instead they usually just entertain us with their idiocy)
Well said Doug ... what would the forum be without those idiots and trainwrecks eh. What would we talk about.
(Socrates999 @ Nov. 04 2009,21:51) A recent thread on some board which mentions a certain LB's gutting of a guy for 1 million USD and some of the cynical replies got me thinking.
.....
They aren't all the same and there are a few gems out there (although it probably took one or two hundred mining expeditions to find this one!)
Hi Socrates999,
Actually someone pointed me to yr thread and b4 I read any further I just wanted to say 3 things:
1. Having had the pleasure to meeting both of you on 2 occasions, I have to say that you 2 do make a nice couple, and as SHE got the looks, I assume u got the brains - oops, that didn't come out quite right ... :-(
2. Wow, xxx,254 - I am impressed by your book-keeping abilities! ;-)
3. If only looking at it from the monetary aspect - which of course is not really the way to do things but anyway ... - you seem to be getting far more than you are "investing" and any relationship anywhere would easily "cost" you some 200+ Euro per month - so, I guess you are a lucky guy - kudos to u, more so if you can remain "faithful" in the land of unlimited opportunities. Respect, respect

Not to mention their baggage!
well played sir.
of course a major reason for needing 500 fiats is to remain ever-ready for departure at first sign of "baggage" being opened. those who fail to see such signs are 'blind fools' indeed.
(Tomcat @ Nov. 07 2009,20:56) what would the forum be without those idiots and trainwrecks eh. What would we talk about.
agreed, this board is fun because I think we have more spirited discussions than the other ones, and really nothing is taboo or off-topic and there's not too much back-slapping going on. If someone needs to be bitch-slapped we do it!
(kahuna @ Nov. 08 2009,05:59) The major problem is finding 500 Fiats (Fix It Again Tony) that actually run...
We used to say Fiat stood for Futile Italian Attempt at Transportation.
