I would agree with the Thai culture comments. Most of us have a love/hate relationship with Thai culture, but it is one thing, very Thai (distinctive)
Every time you hear someone wai a buddah, or speak up about the king, or stand up in the cinema, you can't help think maybe England wouldn't be so shit if we had a bit more identity and respect.
I would rather live a year in Thailand meeting 1 LB a week, than a year in UK meeting 1 a day..
