I agree with this.....pick any large US city and you will find tons of Chinese, PI's, Viets and Cambo and Lao people, even smatterings of Japanese [especially in L.A.].....but despite "Thai Town" at the crappy end of Hollywood Blvd and a few other places in the states that Thai's may come to, they generally stay home and hate to leave their country; especially for good.

Reason, me thinks? Their fucking country is awesome and has everything, why would anyone want to leave there?

I know a few Thais who have gotten that all-important visa to the west and then go to live there......usually don't like it, and then head back to their roots or to BKK with their newfound wealth. Of course there are exceptions, but I can tell you based on my own experiences and even in my own city there are tons of Viets and Cambo people who would never go back to Asia, the Thais always wanna go back.
