The streets used to be better in the old days when Bangkok didn't close. After all the bars closed most of the ladyboys would go work at bars on the street all night. There used to be Alco Carts all over Sukhumvit & surrounding streets. The markets on Sukhumvit all became bars around midnight. The good old days. Very few of these sidewalk bars are allowed anymore.

One advice I have always had is use an alternate hotel for fucks and if you see a lb you vibe with, go with her. I have spent a whole night looking only to come up empty because I was looking for something better.Comment

There is still alco carts during drinking hours & a few later ones occasionally, not often with ladyboys. Pre 2014 they let alco carts and many clubs to stay open all night in Bangkok. In general the city was truly rocking 24 hours a day. When the markets on the sides of Sukhumivit closed, the alco bars would move in then many would stay open until breakfast. Often authorities would not enforce opeing hours in bars or the bars would lock the doors and keep going, some still do this but usually only if they are fairly remote or obscure. The ladyboys from Nana Plaza would often work the alco bars when Nana closed at 3am. Check In bar started as one of these late night carts. I'm not exactly sure when Bangkok mellowed out but it was just after 2011 sometime.
Pattaya is more wide open but still is more reserved that it used to be.
These pics are from 2010. After Nana Plaza closed the streets would have many bars full of ladyboys similar to this.

Do you know the cute chick 2nd from the right on pic #1 and middle pic #2? I swear I've seen her before in person but not as closely as I would have likedComment

The ladyboy on the left in both pictures is the owner of Check in bar. This cart was the origins of check in bar.
The cute ladyboy is Cake. I met her at Obsessions Bar about a year earlier.
This was the night before her SRS surgery and we were out partying it up for her last night with a dick.
She didn't work in any bars after her surgery.
I saw her on and off for about 6 years. We were briefly engaged later that year when I proposed on Koh Chang Island.
We visited Chiang Mai, Hua Hin and Hong Kong.
She eventually moved to France with another boyfriend but they stopped living together so I visited her in Europe a couple times. She had a place in Paris and spent much of her time in Amsterdam. I taught her to ski in the Italian Alps and we visited Venice, Verona and Milan. The next time I visited Paris. We took the high speed train to Bordeaux and drank wine for a week.
After that we drove down to Amsterdam for another week.
I last saw her in 2015 in Bangkok. She lives in Amsterdam now, many thai ladyboys live there.

I first went to Thailand in 2007 so it was great for 5 years or so. They also allowed street hookers all over Walking Street in Pattaya back then.

i did meet a nice lb in Amsterdam and was pleasantly surprised. I also saw a really hot Dutch woman who I thought was trans but was not(it was like a reverse surprise when she had no dick lol).
I have met a few potential partners online but it almost always fizzles out before actually meeting and the ones I do meet haven't been good mates. Even if they were good for mating.
Surprised Check In Bar is that old. I first went there a few years ago and thought it was a newer spot.😎 1Comment

Wow that's awesome! You have good taste between Bordeaux (my favorite European city with Bilbao) and Cake

I made many wine lists over the years so always wanted to visit Bordeaux.

Cake took me to a Thai restaurant in Amsterdam that was just like walking into Thailand. Quite a number of Thai ladyboys hangout at this place.

I think around 2012 she opened the first actual Check in bar at a location just across Sukhumvit from Nana. Later it moved to the current location. Then now June has opened a second location on Soi 11 called Check in 11 bar.

Both Check In Bars are nice. Actually I prefer the one on soi 11 as it is far enough from your average punter to have that cheers vibe.
I'll have to take a look if ever back in Amsterdam. Tbh Amsterdam was nice but idk if I would go back as it felt too touristy.Comment

That looks like a great time! Bourdeaux has some of the best wines I have had the pleasure to try. Apulia, Mendoza and of course Napa are also some of the best spots I have gone. Have you by chance been to Mileștii Mici? Going there is the only reason I want to visit Moldovo tbh.

I loved many wines from Bourdeaux, especially St. Emilion which was a huge seller. We visited the ancient town of St. Emilion so it was pretty cool.
Besides France I've only been to Canadian wineries in the Okanagon and Niagara regions.
My family descends from Moldova so I wouldn't mind checking it out.
Amsterdam is kind of boring but there is tons of ladyboys there but few are working the red light district.
It was before weed was legal anywhere, so there was some novelty there but that doesn't last long.
If you go to that Thai bar there you can meet many ladyboys that come in often later and the one bartender is a ladyboy.
Cake might even be there.

As I have aged and travelled, I find as much as I like seeing sites and attractions, the people and culture matter most. Bangkok may be the most gregarious major world city to exist. CDMX and Rio deseeve mention.
I find central, north and eastern Europe to be cold and stoic in demeanor. Whereas the southern Europe tenda to be chill. I'll have to check out St. Emillon. One great memory I have was doing a day cruise on the Dordogne.Comment

Hmm I guess if I have a layover in Amsterdam I could take a peek haha.

No where is quite like Bangkok. Even though they have mellowed some, it is still a top party spot. Still no where has access to ladyboys as Thailand does.
I was stranded in Rio for 3 months during Covid as Canada wouldn't let me return due to the "Brazilian Strain". It was curing carnival but it was actually cancelled. Many of the parties still continued underground and I went to many. I don't find most of the Brazilian TS as attractive as Thai TS but they are generally more hung but also a little thicker. I bought a bicycle and rode it down the beach and up the mountin daily. I was able to ride all the way up to the Christ statue after about a month of trying.
However I did start dating a Brazilian TS there and took her to Mexico after as I still couldn't go back to Canada after 3 months in Brazil. So I spent 5 months in Mexico with Fernanda until I could finally return to Canada.
Skiing in Italy was nice but it's hard to get dinner until after 8pm which was a little strange for us.
St. Emilion red wines are fantastic!

Yes that Thai restaurant was the highlight of Amsterdam for me.

Ironically, I went to Brazil instead of Thailand during covid because they were one of the few countries open with limited restrictions. Mexico too lol. The Brasileiras are definitely thicker and well hung. I like the variety, you have blondes, redheads, brunettes then blacks, Amazonians and everything in between. I've kept contact with my Brazilian TS Luisa and we met in SF and Rio since but it is a more kinetic relationship lol.
When in Rio i was riding the subway and some drunken football hooligans came on and started singing... within 5 minutes the whole car was in song. Quite fun and memorable. Mexicans are so sweet and CDMX feels like a small village at times, so underrated.😎 1Comment
