It seems to me that a lot of members on this site have money to burn. And I feel I must bring you back to reality.

Now back in the old day's it was half the price to fuck a LB than a GG. (A lot of you guy's remember that) Now you guys are paying more than double to fuck a LB, Than a GG.

The reason why is, some of you guys think as each year passes, the older you are, the more you have to pay.

You also talk about meeting some one for the first/second time with the same old questions,,, ie; What your name ? Where you come from? What hotel you stay?

The first question €˜What your name?' is only to continue with the conversation.

The second question €˜Where you come from?' is to cipher out how much you will pay, eg; a Swiss will pay more than a German, A German will pay more than an Englishman, an Englishman will pay more than an Italian etc.etc.

The third question €˜What hotel you stay' is to confirm the second question how much money you will pay, the higher the rate of the hotel tells that person you can afford more for the ride.

Now if you're the average Irishman/ Englishman etc. Staying at a budget hotel, after these questions are answered, will get a better genuine good time than a twat looking his standards, that's got money to burn, and paying through the nose for the same thing.

I would not call him a cheep charley, but a smarter person than the one who call's him so.

I also disagree with paultain - it's always been the case some people will pay more than others both for ggs and lbs. Generally Japanese are an excellent example of this. Have they "spoiled" the market for punters like you and 69billy? The obvious answer is no, because you can still find lbs willing to to with your budget.

Do you think they respect you more because you pay around 500 Baht for short time as opposed to another punter who pays 1500 Baht short time? I think not, because in the end it's about money and how you treat them. If the punter who pays 1500 Baht treats her nicely, you can be sure she will have more respect for that customer than one who pays 500 Baht and treats her poorly.

I draw your attention to the fact that 69billy also does more things with the lbs he likes than just the bedroom activities. He's taken some of them for various outings, and even paid to have teeth done for one, so it isn't just only 500 Baht ST or 1000 Baht LT.

As for whether or not punters who pay more than that have money to burn - what is your basis for that? How do you know what punters spend when they are back in their home countries? You are making some giant assumptions. Exactly why do you consider those who pay 500 Baht ST and 1000 Bath LT heroes?

Do you think that the costs on Thailand have stayed the same for the past 15 years and the cost of living has not increased for the Thais? Does that justify in your mind to keep paying the same rates as 15 years ago?

How about your work - are you earning the same salary and benefits as you did 15 years ago? How would you feel about your company if they did that?

It's all a matter of perspective.

First, Billy is not everyone's hero...As someone has aptly pointed out on another thread, anyone with a few baht can duplicate everything he does here...

Second, what makes you think he has a better time here than others...Because he says so or you think he does...

Third, he is only envied by those who have never and likely will never visit Thailand...Certainly, not by those who live here or visit frequently or for extended periods...

I understand where you are coming from, and I respect your disagreement, but being a bar owner and living there for 15 years. That is since 1986 go go bar in Nana Plaza 2nd floor for 2 years, Pattaya Soi2 beer bar for 6 years, and a restaurant in Soi post Office for 6 years, fading in and out from one to the other. Until finally I caught myself on and went back to Europe. I have been vacationing in Thailand and PI since 1980. And have always been a LB lover.

You justify yourself in paying low rates because of your experience as a bar owner and living in LOS for 15 years. What did you make in that time and what do you make in your home country now?

So here it goes again, why do you say there should be no difference in payment to the lbs now than 15 years ago? You have not said anything to support your statement other than your opinion that today many punters are rich businessmen spoiling the lbs with large sums of money. Do you feel there has been no change in the cost of living in Thailand now as compared to 15 years ago?

The P4P market is just that a market: market forces apply and its no different from buying a car. You may aspire to a Ferrari but if you only have Ford money thats what you get. Similarly to any other financial transaction its quite possible to strike a good even friendly relationship with the vendor, just don't kid yourself that this will go beyond what it is - a business relationship.

I have been in the throes of selling my business for some time despite the best efforts of the banking system to fuck me over. This means that I am unable to take off for LOS as I would like so I have two choices - wanking over ATS videos (guilty) and visiting London based LBs (likewise). In London I pay London rates but would not pay some alleged porn star £300 for the pleasure - my money my choice - on the other hand I have given my favourite girls generous tips and have enjoyed superior service in return.

Your advice, if left unchallenged, may lead people to go against their own better instincts when it comes to paying for pleasure. My own circumstances are certainly not 'right' for anyone else but me.

Stick to what works for you and by all means offer your sage analysis about why you do what you do, but don't pass off what you do as the right way, because it won't ever be right for anyone but you. It's just one way.
