The PAD demonstrators used golf clubs at the airport.

However, the Guess ladyboys can easily fend them off using their cuestick prowess.

It would be very very bad news. It is a great place to meet and chat with other BMs and at the same time chat with some beautiful ladies. Not to mention Jay and how well the place is run. Sitting there for a few hours before a dash to the ICC is a great night!

Well if the tourism business is still under the control of the PAD like now - you can expect the odds to have altered even further given that nobody can even fly into BKK at the moment even if they wanted to. The flip side of that though is nobody can leave either so maybe they equal themselves out to some degree.

I have to go along with a few others... its a bar first and last, a meeting place, a clubhouse for like minded people.
Sure you can go to NEP... but do you ever see the punters there really mingle? Not much IMHO> Its more furtive.
I enjoyed my visits to the Guess bar, and will always make it a part of my soial life in BKK. Its more than the girls, its the fact that its a social centre. I would miss it.

that would be a major bummer, i live here. like others have said, it is more than a place to find the girls, there are some good folks there to talk too, play pool and hang out.

further, the girls who gravitate there for work do so because they also hate the go-gos and many would find themselves in a major bind as far as a conducive place for employment goes.

I am with you KL, and also BigMick.... not sure why we need this place as long as we have Big Dogs and Lucky Lukes which are outside and have a better view of the parade? Cheap beer, easy to chat, open air, and you see LB's with 2-3 customers per night walking by and trying to avoid eye contact with you; awesome!

   I went to Guess bar 3 or 4 times in the other location; all I saw was a bunch of bored ladyboys sitting around on couches and I had to yell over loud, crappy music just to get my point across to my friends. Not sure if the new one is the same way and I will never find out as long as Big Dogs stays open.

   From reading other threads on this bar it appears more people go there despite its good and bad points, not because of them.

 I think you would enjoy the new GB. It´s alot better/different than the old. Best lb bar in the world(?).

Big Dogs is good because it´s location, but imagine that place somewhere else Scum of the earth staying at Nana Hotel across the street.
