PRICES 2008! How much SHOULD we pay?

LT with a LB is kind of rare but it is 1-1.5K depending on if I bone her in the morning.

I put the money in their purse when they are leaving, and I let them see me do that. Some look at how much, most do not, and almost all want to see me again.

Your numbers mirror mine. I pay the same for GGs as I pay for LBs. Paid 2500 for LT one time in BKK when I was drunk -- otherwise never more than 2000 and many 1500s. Never paid more than 1000 in Pattaya for short time except a few times when I negotiated a 3 hour short time and went to 1500. Soi 6ers (superstar or not) get 500 - 1000. I am a Senior Citizen, could lose a few pounds and still get all of the repeat business that I want at those prices - GG or LB.

When guys overpay they are just raising the bar for everyone. Yes Thailand is cheap relative to your foreign currency but by overpaying you are raising local expectations. Conversely if I was in New York I do not expect to pay Thai prices. Imagine going to a restaurant and demanding you will only pay 7 bucks for dinner!

One piece of advice given to me, by a regular experienced visitor, is to separate the payment for services.

Pay the going rate (as posted here), for ST/LT, and give the "lady" a tip - make sure that she understands it is a "tip". Another advantage to this is that, if she proves to be unsuitable, you have not already committed to an inflated amount.

This way you do not inflate the "going rate" BUT you pay her what YOU feel is correct and she sees you as a generous customer. She is happy, you are satisfied and you maintain the status quo on charges. Now you are a "big hearted, good and handsome man".

Bollocks. This simply isn't true and any basic lesson in economics will substantiate that.

If someone pays 5k a night for a girl she will NOT expect it from every punter she sees. (But she WILL expect it from that particular punter every time she sees him!)

The prices have remained flat and about the same since I started going there so you can't tell me that the free spending lager louts have any impact on the scene.

If you live there you can get it almost for free... If you don't you'll pay what the girl needs to make the rent and NOT what the last bloke paid.

I usually pay between 1,500 and 2,000 for a short time in Pattaya.
(Believe me - I get my moneys worth! Also - I've paid a lot less and I've paid a lot more!)

1000 is my fav for a short time but hey if a girl like pond comes along and i just have to have her 1500 it is.
What i don't like is guys who think if they spoil girls they will get favorable treatment over others who pay less.
