You would have to be nuts to set up a meeting with a professional LB.  Would you ring up any service business and say "I will fly in from a far away land at great cost to buy services".  That is quite simply giving a lot of market power away.  You will pay top dollar and what if they are in a shitty mood?

excellent, excellent post...... and something that has been said by the management of this board for years!!

pre-planning is the death of soooo many vacations..... guys set up a date with a hooker and then wonder why she charged him more or sucked in bed: how can ones expectations live up to reality? then also the guy is locked into one girl for the most part...... hunt, have fun; do NOT book a date!

Bib70.....your arguement with stogie was well-worded and your point can be seen-----however, as he mentioned having 1000 models it is simply impossible to keep track of all of them or even 1/2. say the ATS website started posting e-mails for ´some´of the models who they had contact info for, but the ones that certain people want are not posted? The complaints would fly in..... ´´I wanted Lyla´s e-mail address and NOT Leks! why don´t you have hers¨? and why no Cindy? and why no May?´´ etc...etc..... when in reality May and Cindy and Lek may not even have an e-mail address (many girls can´t read english remember) or they lost their telephone in the taxi last weekend and the number on the site is now useless.

as has been mentioned here for years now and said again by looktoyou...... try and not pre-plan to meet certain models and certainly don´t contact any; go to the country and enter the ladyboy bars and you will see plenty that you like, and more than likely see the exact girls you wanted to meet anyway! They all work in the nana area bars or in Pattaya, and this way with no pre-planning you don´t pay premium prices to them and it also leaves you free to butterfly.

if you simply must contact a model try the Contact page and from my experience the support staff will help as much as they can.

I've also seen the other side of this.

A friend of my Ex received a text message when we were together in a taxi one night.

She looked at the phone and says in English;- 'This asshole send me text but he no come Thailand!'

She not only was never going to see this guy but was also getting charged for the text messages he kept sending her - yes you get charged to receive texts in Thailand.

Is it any wonder the girls change their phone numbers frequently.

It depends which provider you use and it may have changed in the last couple of years.
I think it was AIS but I'm not sure this far down the line.

I've NEVER been charged for receiving texts from ANY network in Thailand.

If they charged for receiving then Thais would quickly stop sending them.

Sending one costs about .5 baht.

I've never been charged for receiving messages while in Thailand either...
But strangely I get charged for incoming messages on my Thai number when I'm in the States...
Go figure...

I usually top off at the airport on my way out and by the time I return it's nearly at zero...
And no...I don't send messages on my Thai phone from the States...Don't work that way...

..more like 99 out of 100...........but that being sad, I learned after my first trip and my first day in BKK years ago. I never missed my "pre-arranged" date as I wanted to keep my credibility, but I regretted having made the date in the first place when I had to tell the babe I was sitting with in an LB bar that I had to leave for a "meeting" .

Sometimes you just have to learn the hard way.......for sure it makes it easier to remember....and not repeat.

The exception on this would be the Philippines I think. having been there in March this year. Pre-planning and a "list of contacts" I had made before I left the USA saved my ass from some boring times and hours wasted running in circles trying to find LB's in Manila. I had planned on meeting an LB that I had met on line but a few days before I left she decided that she wanted to forgo our meeting and concentrate on another guy she had just met. So I was left scrambling in order to still reap some good times from my trip...........and there are no major LB clubs in Manila that come close to the Thailand venues...my list of contacts provide for enthusiastic meetings despite being thrown a curve ball by my "pre-planned" LB.

So I'd say that pre-planning depends on where you are heading.

Splattered across this entire forum is the ubiquitous advice by senior members to newbies to hit the ground guns ablazin' and get in there and hunt, goddammit, HUNT!

I was, I think, pretty well-informed for a youngun by my second trip last year. And I heeded that advice. And frankly, I walked away pretty disappointed.

Foregoing the pre-arranged meetings advice I completely agree with. But let us remember that a large number of LB lovers whittle away their time in a land far, far away, fantasizing about pictures they see on the web. And some of those fantasies become "vision quests," if you will. So, to fly half-way around the world (and for some, maybe the only time ever) to the exact location of your fantasy girl, know she's available for you to have sex with, and then leave it all to chance is absurd.

The average talent in a go-go or beer bar is not even close what is immortalized on the "little screen," as it were, obviously. But that may come as a shock after listening to some of the threads.

You "hunters" never had a "must do list"? If you're gaga over a few, take some strides to find some up-to-date info and bring it with you.

This last go-around last month I planned for the worst and hoped for the best. Packed my wallet with some pertinent info, and then felt relaxed to do the hunt. By day three I called up Long-Term Fantasy Number 1, a girl I had spent immeasurable hours jerking off to, and spent that night fucking the living shit out of her to my heart's content -- three years of pent-up fire up her ass. (Can anything live up to years of fantasy? That's moot. For me, it was the same as fucking a movie star.)

Would have happened last year. But she was never in the bar she was supposed to be. This year I did my research. And I left my trip happy as a fucking clam.

If you want something, go for it. Life is what YOU make it. And remember, most of the BMs that say "hunt" have long since fucked all their early fantasies and have the luxury of saying such things...
