The beaches on the PI's are far better than any Thai beach. Although the beach life is not that entertaining, infrastructure is lacking - but that's the price for having beautiful beaches....
Malapascua island, north of Cebu, for instance is absolutely stunning.... (well it was about 8 years ago and I hope it still is.....) ..... and I bet Andrea would be a fabulous guide and company there....

I agree, Malapascua Island is incredible. Very isolated. Sand is the whitest I have ever seen and looks like snow in the photos. Not a car or jeepney on the entire island..no trikes either.
