The lawyer is likely to ask for more money in case of problem and even to start working for the Thai lady. Even if not, if she wants to put him out, I am not sure a Thai judge would give him the advantage. Better think that each bath spent in Thailand is no return expense.

The United States has no jurisdiction over prostitution there but they can try to charge you for minors.
