hmmm i must admit i have a strange voice well kinda squeaky hheheheehehehehe but its not what voice does matter to me its the way i talk to a lot of people which sometimes i become a talk show well people notice it and ask about it and well i just reason it out with a simple thing

I understand in Thailand that in the government schools they only start learning English at 11 years old.

Also I've met a couple of English teachers (Thai not falang) and their English was not great.

They must do something to their voices to make them more feminine.

Case in point, I think that Jane from Obsessions has a fairly feminine voice. It's very girly and I believe could fool most farang quite easily. I've never heard her spoke in a 'boy' voice, not to her parents, friends, etc... Certainly, to keep this up 24/7 must be tedious, so either she's gotten used to doing this or she's done something to make her voice the way it is. In fact, Jane's voice is so feminine that she (at least to me) has no trouble karaoking Thai female pop songs.

I've also spoken to another Thai girl via webcam/phone and while her voice is not quite as polished, I think its also very feminine and passable to most farang. Surely she can't keep this up, but I've never heard her talk in a boy's voice either.

This was also posted by POL a while ago. Harisu has a very feminine singing voice. When she talks, just a bit deeper but not "masculine".

However in this video from a movie she uses her masculine voice to try and fool the soldiers. Click on the video "Harisu Arrested" and you can hear her.

The premise of the movie was that the Korean president felt threatened by singers/actors as another country recently elected another actor (a la Ronald Regan), so he orders all the singer/actors arrested to protect his position.

I have met a few Thai lbs who started hormones before or early in puberty and have feminine voices, say around 12-16. This is if they take the proper amount to feminize and not too little. It seems the newer generations of lbs in Thailand are starting hormones younger, so they should be even more feminine than the current and past generations.
