I think that this would be a great way to end my time in LOS and BKK. I'll have to take a bar-girl lb as I don't really know anyone else there or know how to meet a non bar-girl. As for the dress, presentable is the way to go, or I would call it off right away. Could spend the day helping her pick out a nice outfit though. Hey thick81, do you happen to have a pic of you and Cleo?

The way I figure it, the whole night might cost at least 9,000 thb or so, but it'll be well worth it. Sound reasonable for a place like this??

What do you think about showing up at the bar with her, before leaving for the restaurant? Would definitely give her the opportunity to show good face to her friends, but also don't want her to get in trouble with them either by her showing them up.

If finding a non-bar LB date is really something you might wish to try, you might

- go to the Central Chitlom cosmetics section on the ground floor (or, for that matter, any cosmetics section in a large department store )

- have a walk around the counters and discreetly observe which has the best-looking LB working there, and catch her eye

- introduce yourself, make some small talk, flirt a bit, and ask for some suggestions re: finding a 'nice' LB for a date at Scirocco

If you are even reasonably attractive, my guess is you will fare well - either with her, or one of her friends

Capone, NEW YORK STEAKHOUSE,AT THE JW MARRIOTT,not only reasonably priced kobe beef, around 85 bucks u.s., for a filet minon, reasonable to what is charged in NYC now, but also argentinian beef too, which i stuck with, 4 nights on my visit there, that cost about 35 u.s., well worth it, reservations a must, and also a fantastic wine list, good luck
