  • In Love Bar and Restaurant Bangkok

As far as I have seen all the fanciest restaurants are in Silom.
I stayed at the Holiday in once there and it had one of the best brunches i have ever had.

To answer the question of where to take a lady, I think it would be "In Love Restaurant" down by the river and the temples.
Not too far from Khao San Road, I believe.

Not to fancy and mostly outdoors this place is right beside the river.
You can see all the boats and cruises going by and the temples lit up at night.
The have fantastic Thai food. I will just pass on the 100 year old eggs next time.
They have towers of beer so you can impress the lady yet still have fun!

Just went here again a couple weeks ago and the location is still very nice and they had a guitar player singing too.
The place is starting to get more run down but still a cool romantic place to go.

Thanks for the recommendation! "In Love Restaurant" sounds like exactly the kind of place I'm looking for—relaxed atmosphere, riverside views, and solid Thai food. I don't mind skipping the 100-year-old eggs either 😂 Towers of beer sound like a fun touch too. Appreciate the tip about the temples lit up at night—that must be a beautiful sight. Definitely adding it to my list for when I'm near Khao San. Cheers!
