We wanted to get out of Patong Beach so we booked a room for a couple of nights at the Novotel at Kata Beach.
Soi Lam Sai, Karon, Mueang Phuket District, Phuket
It was about a 20-30 minute Tuk Tuk ride from Patong.
We booked the executive room which appeared to be their best room.
It was fantastic with views of Kata Beach and Karon Beach which could be enjoyed from 2 different balconies.
The bed and the huge jacuzzi were both facing the ocean view and there was a separate living room and a full kitchen.
The bathroom was massive and had two sinks and tons of storage.
Just a fantastic suite on the top floor.
The hotel had two pools and one was essentially for kids, which kept the other pool quieter.
Breakfast was fantastic and had and extensive buffet with short order.
I checked in with a ladyboy and the rooms are all accessible without going through the lobby so there shouldn't be much issue bringing back a date.
We walked through the lobby late all drunked up and nobody even looked up either.
The resort is up on a hill so it is quiet and secluded but it is only 5 minutes to Kata Beach and 10 minutes to Karon Beach walking.
Also there is many restaurants and shops nearby as well as a bar district off Kata Road about 3 blocks away.
This is where you will find New Wave bar which has many ladyboys on staff.

One night we played pool at New Wave Bar and another night we went to some small bar on beer bar row and took it over.
All the bars were just blocks from the hotel and many other resorts and hotels.
We stayed at the hotel during Loi Kratong, however the public celebrations were cancelled due to the mourning.
Instead we went to a special dinner at the hotel and they had some traditional entertainment, then after we floated our candles in the lobby fountain.
The executive room was around 6000 baht per night but well worth it.
However there is much cheaper rooms to be had here and in nearby hotels too.
Kata and Karon beach are both quite nice and a great change from Patong and Pattaya beaches for sure.
