R Mar Resort and Spa

After Bangkok and Pattaya, we are headed to Phuket for a few days.
For the first 3 days I am booked into the
R Mar Resort and Spa

I booked a Deluxe room which was about 3200 baht per night.
The place looks fantastic and pool is huge!
The rooms are also very big and have balconies although they don't look very private.
The hotel is guest friendly and I don't mind the price due to all the great features.
It is located close to the beach and Bangla and everything.
Can't wait to check it out.

Very nice place to stay. Less than a hundred dollars. This is why Thailand has regained its number one international destination in the world. It is mine, too. Thailand should make CRAG the Minister of Tourism. You're so good at this.

Stayed here for 5 nights and it is ok. The room was much smaller than what I was expecting and the pictures on the website seem a little misleading.
The walls here are pretty thin so you can hear some noise from other rooms, also the doors slam super loud if you don't close it slowly.

Those were probably the worst thing about it, other than that the staff was friendly and the hotel well located.
The pool was very big and really nice but still not near as big as the pictures show.
Breakfast was quite good with a decent fresh selection.
The rooms were nice and clean while a bit cramped, but a decent sized balcony.
It did not seem very busy here but it was the mourning period.

It is kind of an oasis in a busy area and it is actually one block from Bangla road on the one side, and you can hear the music pounding a bit at night.
The entrance faces away from Bangla direction so you have to walk around about 5 blocks to get to Bangla or Cocktails and Dreams.
Two of us both checked in with ladyboys no problem and never asked about joiner fee but it is definitely guest friendly.

Would probably stay here again for the pool and location but may look elsewhere for a better deal and bigger room.
