Phuket Hotel Airline

I'm sure this has been asked a million times already...Has anyone flown from Utapao to Phuket (coming from Pattaya)?? If so, how long is the taxi from Pattaya to Utapao? Average ticket cost?

Also, any good recommendations on where to stay in Phuket. I am guessing anywhere in Patpong. Also any good recommendations on Hotels in Patpong (1500-2000bt per night)?

I think you mean Patong. Patong Beach is the main tourist and bar area on Phuket. Patpong is Bangkok.

I am staying in Patong, Phuket now. I would recomend the Sunhill Hotel, its one drawback, it isn't really walkable to town, unless you don't mind a 20-25min walk to Bangla road which is where most of the night action is. However there are always motobike taxis, & you don't have to wait long for a tuk tuk or even a taxi.

There out of season rates are excellent when you consider the room quality & overall standard. Ask for rooms on the 3rd / 4th floor in the main hotel, its quieter & views are better. The cheapest rooms are in an anex across the road, 3 storys around a small but very clean & private pool, but these are still excellent, they just don't have a kitchen.

No joiner fees & LB friendly. Western run & owned, check out the website

You can fly from Utapoa direct to Phuket with one of the cheap airlines, not sure which one, probably, Bangkok Air or NOK, check there websites.

About 40 ??min, 200 bht approx. Ask at your hotel for pickup.

I would agree with Sunhill probably the best hotel i visited in thaialnd and reasonable room rates. The staff are all very friendly also, I kind of fancied the barmaid.

200 baht is the price for a shared minivan from Pattaya to U-Tapao.  Cab will be about 600 baht.

I like the Rendezvous but get a Superior Room or better.
