Rawai Beach apt 4 rent

..just curious if anyone happens to know where this apt might be located by the attached photo & how far it is from Phuket.. have already contacted the owner for particulars, but if anyone living in that area now might know it's location & can provide any additional information it would be appreciated..  

...and would 9k a month be low, avg, or high for that area?

if your thinking how far from Patong, then Rawai is about 45 mins on a scooter if your folowing Faranbah he drive to fast

nice ride and right by a great beach to, but wouldnt like the ride back from Patong in the dead of night or if its raining.

..you're right, after finding a good map to see it's location it's it's waaaay south of where I'd wanna be, but by Harley it's a short ride back to civilization..     .. now would I want to live in such an isolated place for any great length of time, I'd have to see it before I made that decision; I don't mind living in the country as long as I have good water pressure, reliable electricity & an internet connection..    I also found out later from the selling agent the owner has it for sale, so renting there may not be a long term option for me.  I've noticed a lot of commercial bungalows/hotels for sale in this area which isn't a good indicator of future economic conditions for that area.. I'd rather rent 1st to see how living there for several months would appeal to my long term retirement goals than jump into an investment that turns sour rather quickly..  

..after checking more listings I found Chiang Mai to offer more realistic home prices compared to other locations of similar size, a lot more options there & more of a conveinence considering the close access to the airport & malls.  The homes there have more outside area & are lower priced than Phuket & BKK, but I've never been to Chiang Mai so that's another place I will have to visit before I make a decision where to drop anchor; again renting will be my 1st option before deciding where to live.  Any other suggestions from the members who already live there will be appreciated..

Not exactly sure where this is but I do know 9000 is for a room in this guest house and not the the entire house. Rawai is very small place and most streets are within 3 or 4 km to a beach.
