I stayed at the Koenig Mansion and it's a good deal. However, I prefer the Kingfisher which is a minute's walk away. Kingfisher is a gender neuteral hotel with in-room safe but no pool (but for 100 baht you can do laps in the big Yensabai Condo pool). Koenig is a str8 German hotel with a small pool with safety box at desk.

And by all means go to JoJo's beauty shop. She gives a great haircut for 80 baht. Ad I shortimed one of her friends who was hanging around.

Bottom line, you will not be disapointed with the Koenig, but I prefer the Kingfisher.

hey Midget, that's "up yo you".

i was not embarased and the management and staff are very friendly. the guests tend to be str8 German punters, who I didn't get to know.

80 baht for a great haircut? Man, I was had...
The last time I was in Patong, i asked Aom where I could get a good ahircut, and she refered me to "her" hairdresser, which was just next door to the C&D appartments. Got charged 200 baht for it. I found it a little exoensive for a little snip-snip here and snip-snip there, but hey, no big deal. I even told Aom that i found the price a little high (for Thailand) (as I could get a good haircut in KL for around half that price). She said that 200 was a good price. Was it? Or did she get a "cut" too (and I am not talking about hair (or dick)).
