(TEXASMAC @ Jan. 13 2011,20:15) Pars Place is a place Daveduke mentioned before. They close all the doors at 11:00 pm but they give you a key to the back door to get to your room. You could bring a goat up there and nobody would know. Only 6 rooms, no elevator (lift) and they dont take credit cards. But the owner was a great guy. 900 bhat a night.
The rooms look good for the price. The pool they advertise (50 baht/day fee) is the pool at the LK Pavilion hotel across the alley. It is a nice pool with cool water and I've never seen anyone else use it.
Location is a tiny bit off the mark. It is at the corner of 3rd Rd and Pattaya Tai, which is about 700 meters walk from Walking Street. Famous Bar would be half that distance. Baht buses to/from the 2nd Road are not as plentiful. But there are always moto taxis and the savings on the room more than makes up for the cost of these.
Their site still advertises 700 baht a night, if it is 900/night, this is less attractive.
I know Dave loves this place and the intangibles are good, a friendly owner.
