BTW, I was told by the August Suites manager that the rates Bobby quoted were for one week+. I paid a touch more, but not complaining (maybe just can't negotiate hard enough).

Rates could be lower in March as I booked two guys there and got the 1500 rate for stays of less than a week. Maybe cause she knows my hansum face.

Or once you get a low rate it's strange if they don't keep giving it, I dunno.

A Suite
Where is it situated , cant remember seeing this place before.

Also whats the post 2AM noise factor as that the only reason i used to stay at the Amari ... its very quiet at night, at least outside anyway. Yup , I know that Pattaya is a City and its noisy but might as well ask

I am a light sleeper and the view is a bonus , a Nuclear Fallout Bunker would suit me but there aint many of them near Walking Street.

No noise there at all when I stayed there,  TC ..... it was super-quiet.

Location; you would think it would be loud because it's near a VERY busy intersection, but it's tucked back in the corner of a small soi and you can't hear anything in your room or the lobby or even at the pool, trust me.


      * I am guessing these rates WILL go up over time, as this is a newer place and the rooms are surely worth more than 1500 a night and are actually advertised at 3000 for people coming in off the street .......but Pig Dogg's discount is an incredible deal so hopefully Tee will keep working there and providing it for all the people in our crew headed down to sin city.

  I could've stayed there for a week and been very comfortable.

wow, I was the same way!!! Left Phi Phi on december 3rd..... the Tsunami came in on the 26th and the Charlie Resort where I was staying was completely leveled and washed out to sea. 3 weeks away from being DEAD...if those tectonic plates had decided to move just a few weeks earlier....yikes.


have fun in either place, I kinda miss Phuket myself as well, it's been at least 3 years now.

In March, 1500/nite.

These rates are without breakfast.

I am surprised that they are discounting this heavily as the place is at almost full occupancy.

Tee is the manager's name.  Talk to her for the discount or I can go over for you.  When she sees my face, she knows to come up with a low price.
She's an extremely nice woman.

Hi Uncle B, AS looks like somewhere I'd definintely like to stay, however, in keeping with Glenn's need to live frugully as possible the only way I'm going to get a look at that famly suite is if I start up 'business' myself in Patts


I would really appreciate the 'UB special rate' quote on the Family Suite. We are planning to land in Patts on the 19/05 and stay 5 - 7 nights. Hope you can hook us up

Firstly, I don't know PigDogg's full identity.  So when I mentioned 'Bobby' to the Manager at August Suites (Tee), she just looked blankly at me.  So I got a rate of 1700 (no breakfast)    - which is what I've agreed to pay this coming week, and it's worth that.

However, today I tried to add an extra night, and their standard rooms are already fully booked this midweek.

It's Tee who doesn't know my identity. If you have a pic of me, show her.

She knows my face, as I've been there a dozen times booking, reconfirming etc. but she probably does not remember my name and all the rooms booked were in the guest's name.

TT, next time you want to stay there, I'll try to get you a lower rate. Seems she knows you as the 1700 guy and me as the 1550 guy. Last time I got 1500 cause she probably confused me with a 1500 guy.

My guess is that the 1300 days are over.

Natalie, I'm talking standard rooms here, the family suites are going to be much more but I'll give it a try next time you're coming to Patts.

Tee hee. Just been offered a room at AS for Sunday at 1550.  Hope I'm the 1550 man now    Many thx from all satisfied TLF customers for finding this place Bobby  You've done a very good job for August Suites' visibility /occupancy rate, but badly for their margins !!!

PS. Is it safe to return to 'that' bar in Sunee - you know, the one Daveduke insisted on visiting? If so, either there or another ladyboy bar, next drink is on me.  Even if it's more than 40 baht

For gods sake do not under any circumstances stay in this shithole. I visited an old aussie mate there in late December who to put it mildly lived in a pigsty himself in Melbourne and he moved out after two nights of a five day stay. I spent 15 minutes in the joint and had to catch a baht bus to " Sabai Dee " upon leaving for a good soapy scrubdown. Horrible place that smells musty, sticky carpets, old and tatty furnishings etc, many better options around imho.

....i was there once cause "pacman" pleased me to help him a little to promote.....so i walk in´, look all the rooms and have a dinner....give him a pic with Mrs Juri....and walk down to the gogo....

hmmm, for me something like a show-house and the rooms too.....they all funny painted and decored.....BUT, maybe nice for a weekend, its to overloaded for a realy relaxed and plesant longstay like i do....
