Friend of mine went golfing with them in '08 and the old owner seemed to me a very nice guy but get the impression that there have been some ownership changes.

I'll check out the rooms for you SW. When u thinking of staying there?

I just popped by the Irish Rovers and had a chat with one of the owners, Ian. They are fully booked at the moment so he couldn't show me any rooms, but if they are done to the same standard as the bar downstairs, they should be quite nice.

PigDogg is right about the ownership change. Ian has been involved for 4 months and his partner for 6. It seems like a very friendly place and Ian confirmed that there are no problems at all with ladyboy guests. I'm not 100% but I think he mentioned that he was gay himself.

Only disadvantage for the more discreet LB punter is that the entrance to the rooms is through the bar, but I would not expect any comments or attitude from other guests to be tolerated. And that is surely not a problem for the likes of spare wheel

It has wifi and i stayed in both big rooms above bar, never heard a thing when returning as music off at 2 am and theres security guard who takes id cards from the girls.
