Jasmine hotel vs Galaxy suites which is nicer?

so i'm planning my first trip to Pattaya. I'll be there for 15-20 days and I need to choose a place to stay.

both Jasmine hotel and Galaxy suites looks nice and I've read good things about them in the forum.

my question which one you think is nicer.

i know they are both at the same area, Jasmine rooms seems bigger and it is cheaper but Galaxy rooms seems newer and bit more fancy which is nice plus they have free wifi in the room and a safe in each room.

any other things I should pay attention to?

other hotel options are also possible, basically I'm looking for a place near Walking Street, safe, clean (very important), and cheap (up to 900B/night) and of course that won't give me problems having company over.

any info you guys can give to help me choose will be appreciated

Best deal in Pat is the Sawasdee Siam location corner of Soi Buakhao & Soi Honey Inn ( Soi 11 ) unlike Jas has pool with bar, rooms cleaner and bigger, and morning meal inculed. Only 10 min 10 Bath bus ride to Walking St. Negative is across from Pookie so hard to butterfly on any girls from there.

if you want to stay central and a little more discreet (compareed to galaxy. if you're shy about go with a lb among tourists, hookers and their customers), try secrets hotel in soi 14 off walking street. or p72 in walking street, right above lucifer disco - just 2 'hello sexy man-shouts away from jsb

To answer your main question I'd choose the Galaxy over the Jasmine.

But my main input is don't commit yourself to any hotel for 20 days.

If I were you I'd book the Galaxy for 3 days only and walk around and look at other places to stay on your list. You might like another one better.

Once in Pattaya you will realize how easy it is to get to Walking Street from anywhere on the baht bus.

You may also find that you prefer other areas.

I would not stay at either place for free, as Kahuna quite rightly stated

The Jasmine is a fucking shit hole...

and Galaxy, although rooms are nice enough, it is very noisy until around 3am plus it is genetic girl territory and not really for ladyboy lubbers.

I have had spells staying in Walking Street on two separate holidays in previous years, you really do need to escape that place during the day unless your stay is only a brief one.
