Does the Haven Hotel, Pattaya have Internet?

Can anyone confirm whether the Haven Hotel on Soi 13 Pattaya has in room internet?

I just spoke to 3 girls at reception and got 3 different answers!

Squirly was staying there I am sure when he sees this he can give you a definitive answer.

Although I do not see any mention of it on the website

Yep, which is why i called them:

Stewart: "Do you have internet access in your rooms?"

Receptionist 1: "No, you have to bring your own Internet"
Receptionist 2: "Yes, in the restaurant"
Receptionist 3: "Yes, wireless in room"

(Stewart @ Jan. 06 2008,10:30) Receptionist 1: "No, you have to bring your own Internet"
Receptionist 2: "Yes, in the restaurant"
Receptionist 3: "Yes, wireless in room"
          translates to:

Receptionist 1: "No, you have to bring your own laptop"
Receptionist 2: "Yes, in the restaurant, fixed point PC"
Receptionist 3: "Yes, wireless in some rooms, with Wi-Fi stolen from across the street"

I've found that in LOS it's not what the question is but how you ask it.

          Instead of:

"Do you have internet access in your rooms?"

maybe try: "If I bring my laptop can I get internet? Is this in all rooms or just some rooms?"

Phone them again later after shift change and see if you get another different answer

Yes, Bam that works, I use this system to poach free internet off the neighbor when I visit my parents in Canada! Also was used in Desert Storm to extend wifi connections on the US bases.

I did a great experiment last summer with a 24 dBi Grid antenna attached to a Rotor Motor... it was amazing! I was picking up Access Points that were miles away. Lots of open AP too. Anyone that wants good reliable FREE anonymous Internet should set one of these grids up.

I'd be worried if I had someone like you for a neighbor!

Yes, there is a wireless Internet signal that works in the rooms and restaurant at the Haven Hotel. It is a WEP signal, the password is aaaaaaaaaa (10 times the letter "a"). I publish it here because 90% of the time, no one there knows anything about the wireless signal.

does the can-tenna work with an internal wireless card in a laptop or does it have to be wireless card inserted externally in order to connect wires to the antenna?
