This is a new 31 story condo building on the corner of Soi Diana and 2nd road, across from Areca lodge.
It is a nice new building of condominiums and they are ladyboy friendly as there is no front desk or security taking ladyboy IDs.
If you rent here you are getting an apartment that you can freely come and go from, however you lose the safety net hotels provide, which is fine for veteran pooners.
I rented a condo here on Agoda for 2000 baht on Agoda for 6 nights. It thought it looked like a great deal in a brand new hirise with balcony and pool on the 25th floor. When I got there, there was not an actual balcony but there was a small outdoor alcove where they had a spinner washer. The entire "balcony" was 2 meters x 1 meter. Not room for me to even enter. So I complained to the host and he was a complete jerk about it, claiming it met the requirements of a balcony. I complained to Agoda and after many painful hours, the host agreed I only pay one night and get a refund for the rest. Agoda agreed this did not qualify as a usable balcony.
Some units appear to have condos but this one did not.
When i complained the host told me I was complaining about too much and called me stupid and blind.
It was a nice brand new condo, nothing really wrong with it. However in Pattaya, I like a balcony. I sometimes smoke when I drink and many ladyboys like to smoke. Also being on the 25th floor locked in with no outside balcony is a little stuffy for me.
Junior Suite Ocean View Double was the room I booked.
It appears this company has several condos in the building. Not sure if they are a legal hotel company or not. It is not legal to rent out apartments by the day in Thailand unless you are a licensed hotel. As shown in one of the pictures here there is a sign at the front lobby stating that daily rentals were illegal. The other thing compared to a hotel is that there was only one key provided and the host was not onsite. So there is no front desk to help you, or anyone really. So if you lost your key you may be in trouble. In Comparison, the View Talay 6 Condos are rented by companies that all have offices on the main floor of the condo building and are legitimate hotel companies.
There is no offices here except for the condo building itself.
This building is in a fabulous location for ladyboy lovers for sure, there was even a few ladyboys hanging around in front of the entrance around 3am.
Also has a really big nice swimming pool on the 31st floor which I tried out.
