Elio Del Ray Condos Sukhumvit 64

I rented a studio condo at Elio Del Ray for about 9 months, which was originally on a 6 month lease at 9000 baht per month.
It was far cheaper than hotels when coming to visit my GF, plus she had a nice place while i was out of town.
The room was smaller but had a small balcony, large bed and small sofa, plus a washer/spinner, fridge and microwave. There was no stove or hot plate but there was a 24 hour store on the site and also a coffee shop open during the day. Across from the complex was many food stands which is where most of the Thai people there ate.
The main swimming pool was the largest I have ever seen and I love a good pool which is partly why we chose this one. There was also another smaller pool too!
Also there is a fitness center and common rooms. The complex is really secure and there is quite a few guards walking around.

It was about a 15 minute walk to BTS Punnawithi and a half an hour or so to the Nana BTS station. There is a motorcycle stand at condo that takes you to the BTS faster.
These condos can only be rented by the month or longer legally but they are a great deal if you are staying that long or longer.
It is small but good for a couple and really good if you like swimming. The place is fairly new and clean and a great monthly price.
Also nice oasis from the Bangkok madness.

Thanks for the info Crag, it looks good. Do they have a Website or did you rent through an agent? How much did you pay for the utilities per month?

Their website is only related to selling them and general information.
We found this suite on Rent Hub, as you can see there is dozens of units there at a range of prices from 8500 baht to 25000.

There is suites on a number of other rental sites too.

I see there is some on Airbnb but I would be wary renting that way as it is illegal to rent an apartment for less than a month in Thailand as that sign i showed says.
In Hua Hin i used Airbnb successfully for a week but it was a quiet resort in Cha-am. The security here at elio del ray is very vigilant here and enforce all the rules at the pool, tourists tend to stick out.

You had to connect your own internet there but I think there was a deal with one company.
Electricity was amazingly cheap 2-300 baht per month. The suites stay relatively cool and you don't really have to leave it on when you leave.

Also had to put down damage deposit equal to one month rent and first and last month.
It is also fully furnished with a tv and wardrobe chest, bed and sofa.
The bathroom is quite big but only has a shower and no tub.

Thanks for your reply, Crag.I read in renthub that Elio Del Ray has about 1600 apartments. How was the noise level either from the neighbors or the traffic outside?

Yes it is a very big complex that is why there is so many rentals available.
The particular owners we had were very good, they came and fixed stuff quickly.
Also got the damage deposit back no problem.

Very quiet there. None of the suites are near the street so you don't get vehicle noise that much.
Not too many vehicles driving around the complex except around rush hour when everyone comes home.
Probably half of the people that live there don't even have vehicles either.
Probably the loudest noise came from the elementary school there when the kids sang.
As I say there is many security guards around that stop noise and mischief very quickly.
Barely heard anything from neighbours and the walls seemed quite sound proof.
