  • Info on Dream hotel

    Hi Guys,

Just looking for some info on the Dream hotel on sukhumvit soi 15 as i will be back later in the year and have checked out the website and i think it looks a great hotel but have no idea if it is lb friendly. So if any of you guys out there have stayed at this hotel please let me know your thoughts about your stay and most importantly is it lb friendly?

    Cheers

    Hello Mac73,

I've looked at the Dream Hotel website and yes it does look good. I do not have any experience of this hotel.  I must admit  -  I can't say I've ever seen it

What does strke me is that they are offering rates around 3800 Baht which is a good rate for a 5* even in Bangkok.

I'd say give it a try and if the worst comes to the worst you may have to bribe the night security 200 Baht per night to take a 'guest' in.
If they try to ask more than that do you your best to tell them to f#$k off as that is about one days pay as it is!

For anyone who remembers the Somerset Hotel, this 'rebuild' is quite a contrast!!   Not located on a very good site, on Soi 15, next to the busy junction side road to Asoke.

I have not stayed there, but had a guided tour of the hotel & rooms when it first opened.   Very smart, as you would expect, but I'm not sure they are getting visitors paying anywhere near their opening rates.   So if they are not full, should be customer-driven on the LB front I'd say!

            Not too far from Robinson's.

If it's too hot/raining cross to the other side of Sukhumwit Road and take a taxi.  It will be 35 Baht and just about 5 minutes.

Rxpharm is about right with the walking time  -  I could make it in just under 15 minutes !!!  beepbeep!

I have 2 agree with TT chang about the location as i passed by the hotel when i was in bkk earlier this year and it is right on the corner of a junction. But from the outside looks a really nice place and i always like 2 try out new places when i am on my travels.

If no one out there is sure about it being lb friendly i might just stick to the old favourite The Majestic Grande on soi 2, as i know for sure u never get troubled there no matter how many guests u have back 2 your room.

                Cheers

For several trips to BKK I used Royal President Serviced Apartments, further up Soi 15, which are pretty good........but those were the nights I used to walk to Soi Cowboy for GGs..... 15 minutes...."For what?" !!

Why did it take me so long to see the dark?

I am tempted to take my favourite LB to Dream for a night or two next trip.... but it has no pool as I recall, if that is important to you.   And thought of a jacuzzi at either President Solitaire or Chateau Bangkok will probably swing my baht.

Someone could try sending them an e-mail;-

                    Dear Sirs,

While staying at your fine hotel, my intention will be to bring scantly clad katoeys from a gogo bar back to my room.  Maybe several at a time.

Will this be a problem and/or will I incur any additional charges on my bill.

                    .................(your name here)

                      Dear Road Runner

You are a perv... probably 40%   ....& we dont go for that sort of stuff in this fine country of ours

But in the interests of good customer relations.....and commerciality (ie lack of bookings).... no problem & no joiner fee
