I am deciding to stay at either the dawin or jw marriott. Honestly I would prefer the Marriott, but the last time I was in bkk almost five years ago, it was a hassle bringing a gg to the marriott no less an LB. Have things changed since than? If I bring an LB to the Marriott, will I get hassled andwill there be a joiner fee. I am trying to get the absolute most updated position on this as I would hate to have to change hotels for the week that I am there before heading off to pattaya
Recently completed a 12 night stay at the ladyboy-friendly Marriott's Bkk Courtyard hotel as a change of pace from JW Marriott and the Nana-area places.
The Courtyard is located a couple blocks off the Sukhumvit Rd/Rajdamri Rd intersection (Erawan Shrine). It's a short walk to either the Chidlom and Rajdamri sky train stations.
My room (advance internet booking) was 2,799 baht per night, but the normal fee appears to be aroud 3,499. I had a corner-deluxe room.
The hotel staff was totally indifferent when I brought a guest ladyboy or GG to my room. The staff extended the same courtesies to them that any honored guest would receive at a Marriott hotel. The Courtyard staff is extremely polite. I know it can be unsettling to hear ladyboys screaming "Daddy, oh oh oh, daddy" at 3am every night, but I received no hotel complaints. I always book my rooms for 2 people as a precaution, but Courtyard did not charge me any fees for one or two overnight guests.
The hotel has only been open a year so everything in the place is clean and good as new. The have a pretty good cafe (including a decent burger), nice sized rooms, a pool, and on-premise spa services (massage). The staff is young, a little more casual than the folks at JW Marriott, and eager to please.
It's a little out of the way, but you're only looking at a 20 baht subway ride or 70 baht taxi to NEP. First thing I noticed about the 'hood was that the sidewalks here are evenly paved and the utility holes all have their covers intact. Two excellent coffee shops are within 100 feet of the hotel (I recommend Otto's on Soi Lang Suan. Bring your own pastries.). With the sky train stations (and shopping centers) nearby my ladyboys du jour also found it was convenient for them to stop over during the afternoon.
At this stage I would still rate Dynasty Inn Grande or Dawin as the best value for my needs, but if I run across that special Marriott rate again I will give Courtyard serious consideration. I love the JW Marriott, but now I will probably always choose Courtyard over the JW in Bkk. The cost at Courtyard was substantially less and their service was not that far off from the high standards at JW. For you road-warriors in America, this is not the businessman-warehouse type Courtyard you are familiar with. Courtyard Bkk is far, far, superior.

Take stogie's advice and stay at the majestic grande!
The majestic grande on the the same soi as jw marriot. Asolutely ladyboy friendly and a great stay all the same. This place is in the 4* market but very good and a little cheaper than JW. It is also 2 minutes from guess bar and a maximum of 5 minutes from NEP, with a handy walk through the rajah car park to get to these two places. Check out asiarooms.com they always have good rates. A grand deluxe although not 5* is a great room and i don't think you would be too upset, i paid over the counter at normal walk in rates last time as i didn't know where i would be, and the rates for a grand deluxe was still cheaper than JW.
As for the walk of shame no problem as they are used to the delights of los. When i was there october there was a rather large westerner walking around with two ladyboys in the afternoon and no one cared!
Just in case seamus sticks his five pennys worth in, the large westerner was not me! Next time it will be!
i'm going where the sun keeps shining.................
I've looked at the Business Inn which looks great but I've looked up Stogie's Majestic Grande and can't find any ballpark on rates whatsoever. Hope someone can help me out. Thanks
Click on Rooms and Suites and then on the individual room types and it displays the rates.
In a quick search I could not find any discounts from outside agents but the hotel is doing an offer - can't manage to lift the URL and post it here for it for some reason.
Edit:- Just found a discount on Asia Rooms
I'm sure there must be other offers.

Ok, after cancelling 2 trips to Thailand I will finally get to Bangkok next February. I'm a first timer and I will be on a tour. Is anyone familiar with the Century Park Hotel ? Is it LB friendly ? On the map it looks like a decent walk to Nana Plaza, but maps can be so deceiving. And was is the going rate for a LT currently. I noticed there are a few escort sites are they over priced ? Is 10,000 BHt about average ?
Give me 10,000THB and I will do one better, I will send you 4 LB stunners LT.
Buddy, the escort services are way overpriced. No need to book ahead of time. Just come down to Nana any time, you can pick and choose the LB of your dreams to take back to your hotel.

A decent walk...more like a marathon...If you left the hotel at noon you just might get to NEP by the time the bars open at 7 pm...That is if you don't succumb to the exhaust fumes sooner...
Why try and reinvent the wheel...Stay on Sukhumvit Sois 2, 4 or 6 and you'll be very happy...There are many hotels in all price ranges to select from...
The Dynasty group has 3 hotels on Soi 4 and Soi 6 in the 1300 to 2500 baht range...The Majestic group has 2 hotels in the area in the 1300 to 4000 baht range...
Finally, 10,000 baht will indeed buy a ladyboy for long time session...For an entire fucking week...The going rate for a long time in BKK is somewhere between 2000 and 3000 baht...
Spend a little time reading here and you'll find great information for first timers...Then ask your questions...
