How guest friendly is the Sofitel in Silom?

Not sure what there policy is now...
I stayed there a few years ago when it was called The Monarch Lee Gardens.and took a Lb back and no hassles..
Still a very flash hotel,,and you can still book online for US$64 double room for the night..
Only a short stumble to patpong if thats your scene,,

My favorite hotel and close to the action is the Tawana Ramada Gardens Surawongse..,,but these days it allways seems to be full...

This is a great hotel, I stayed there last year and took loads of GG's back at all times and no-one batted an eyelid, I did not take an LB back though. I'd be interested to find out if its OK 'cos I wouldn't mind staying there again.

maybe try Narai Hotel..................
I always stay at the Narai Hotel just along Silom Rd from Sofitel and never had any problems bringing LBs back , although i always get back around 2am when there nobody around. Narai has the best buffet aound, please believe me ,and its packed every night. So even if you stay at the Sofitel pop along to Narai for the buffet

A very popular and friendly place. Handy for Patpong and Nana is about 15 minutes and 50 baht away. Only ever pay the Taxis on the meter when going over to Nana.

One of the last Thai family owned Hotels left in BKK.

Can you please expand on the "buffet" TC, is there any gin involved???

Ah.... you have to pay for Alcaholic drinks at the buffet ... this is the only small detail.

But wait! you can drink as much chinese tea as you want.............has their generosity no boundary !
