Forget the Ambassador, not at all "guest" friendly whether that guest is a Ladyboy or a generic girl. I tried them one time and only one time. Do not give this toilet your money. There are soooooo many other places close to the action that will welcome you and your guests with open arms. However if you choose to ignore the advice you will get then don't claim ignorance of the situation.

Well said Pogue, which is why I searched in the net and found that comments that seemed quite self-explanatory and backed by yours!
What would you the suggest in Sukhumvit area then?
I mean, without going to Marriot, Landmark or other expensive places..
I'll be there for biz and receiving clients in the lobby/coffe-shop also, so it should also be somewhere suitable for that purpose.
I have never actually stayed in Sukh. area before...

I stayed at the ambassador for a few trips from 02 -04... the hotel was taken over by the son and it went down the drain... guest fees, rude security charging u the guest fees... We moved over to the fortuna. Near foodland... closer to nana and very guest friendly.

Good sugggestion too Marco. I'm checking what is around in the 1500 baht budget and a somehow business appearance hotel.
Would you remember if they have in-room safebox? I didn't find that mentioned in the room description.

Is Majestic Suites having enough business-look to receive customers?

You cannot go wrong by staying close to the action in lower Sukhumvit. If you do not care to use the short time hotel in Nana Plaza then being a very short walk or taxi ride away is the best. I would personally avoid the Nana Hotel, too close to the action, too noisey and just plain tacky. Everybody knows your business in this joint. I have stayed at the Majestic a few times and in my opinion a much better choice in your price range. They are very "guest" friendly, their property is kept up and if you opt for a suite you have a ton of room to play in.
