Sukhumvit Sofitel

The long delayed Sukhumvit Sofitel is scheduled to open Feb. 2012. It will cater to 5 star clientel. We will have to wait to see what the management decides the guest policy will be. It's located near Soi 13 and is one of the tallest hotels on Sukhumvit.

I really hope they'll finally open it. I don't care much about the hotel but every time some hotel or a shopping center is opened on Sukhumvit some stalls selling fake crap dissapears

Btw, I've seen this hotel many times from other hotels in the area(Sheraton, Landmark) and it doesn't seem to have too many windows. Very strange building...

Just passed it -- that's one big building. Though the outside looks mostly complete, the innards still look pretty gutted...

Its not taking any bookings. I looked at March 12 and nothing came back. How much do you think it will be. I agree with Moe. The difference between 4 & 5 star can give a lots of girls upgrade. No brainer

More about the hotel, I walked by it tonight and the security guard said hotel is open - perhaps a "soft opening" for walkins? The website isn't taking any bookings yet as mentioned by Bobcat. The site says officially open April 2012 - so I think if you would like a deal on 5 star go in an negotiate!
