Has anybody ever stayed in Unico Express@Sukhumvit

I was on Agoda and came across this hotel, the Unico Express@Sukhumvit, the rates are incredibly low and the reviews seem pretty good. Has anyone ever stayed here? It used to be called Leela Inn Hotel, any info would be appreciated as the price seems to be great.I work in the hotel industry and I'm not yourt typical bitchy traveler just need a place to lay my head and get to know some hot ladyboys.

stayed there last may for a few nights its not bad and the location is ok walking distance to nana bts and soi 4.

From the general reaction to most user comments on 'Booking.com' I'm guessing that this hotel is cheap and cheerful. If the back packers haunts are full up then here's where you'd go! User comments suggest that their promo pics are deceiving bordering on fraudulent!

Also - It's my impression that they have a lot of Arab and Indian guests there judging by the amount of feedback on the site.

Here's a hint... If you really want to know what a hotel is like then click on the comments at Booking.com and click on what the 'Families' say. They usually gives you the general view of the hotel better than any other group.

Where as 'single travelers' or 'young couples' tend not to complain too much, the 'families' will have a good gripe about anything and everything!

The most telling comment for me was "Great hotel... but too far away from Khao San Road!"

1300 THB for the superior room with pool and free wifi. Not a bad rate.

Just a little joke Tan. Those Arab and Indian guys do have some funny stares.

When your in Bangkok again here is a great hotel. Great location and great value. Its also very quiet aswell and you wont get any Arab or Indian guys giving you scary looks. One downside is taxi drivers wont know where it is, but its in walking distance of a BTS station.

I've stayed there. Room is great, price even better. The location is OK if you like to be in a Thai neighborhood (Suan Plu). Downside is far from BTS or subway. But taxis are plentiful here.

but they have free tuk tuk to bts station which i dont use anyway as i hardly go out during daytime. i just love it there
