Will be in Bangers in a couple of days,staying as usual at the DIG.

I've always noticed they offer free transfers to Pattaya if you stay at their hotel there,and discount rates too.

A couple of questions...is the Dynasty Pattaya a good place to stay,in regards to proximity of hotspots? And,is it VFM or are there much better accomodation options? I'll be spending a few weeks in Bkk,but only a few days in Patts,so don't want to waste precious time by holing up in an out of the way location.

Take advantage of the offer mate if only a few days is your plan.....

The hotel in Patts is small but clean , very friendly and LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION.......

I love it .... You dont sleep much in Patts but the dark rooms backing onto the parking courtyard are perfect to recharge....

You have the Kiss resaurant only a short distance and cheap good food , 7 eleven 50 mts , a bar across the street , La bamba and Stringfellows one Soi away and only a 7 min walk to Walking St or 3 min in a baht bus....

There are better places to stay of course , but if you are like me and only like to do short stays in Patts its perfect...

Location is good.....right on the money with Stringfellows and LaBamba in the very next Soi.

VFM.....not really, it is only modest accomodation. These days you find much more luxurious lodgings a 100 meters away at only another 700 Baht per night  
I'm talking about LK Renaisance in Soi Diana.

For convenience (free journey,cheapish tariff etc) and the fact that its close to some decent action,I'll be giving it a whirl.

I've stayed at DI in Soi 4 plenty of times before it got redeveloped,and more recently about 10 times at the DIG,so feel comfortable with the price and facilities of these places. Luxury never appeals to me hotelwise,so as long as its not a pit (a la Nana hotel) all will be well.

Do they do a free return to Bangers as well if I stay at the DIG again? Might as well save a grand if I can.....

No.....you have to pay for that trip.

It's only 500 bht for the return trip which is still pretty good value , comfort and piece of mind .

If you do Patts right you dont need to be thinking or have your witts about you with dodgey cab fares just sleep until you arrive back at the DIG......

I realise it's mentioned in the thread title, but just as a note of caution regarding the Dynasty Hotels in Pattaya:

Do not make the mistake of choosing the "Dynasty Resort, Pattaya".
The "Dynasty Inn, Pattaya" is the one you want

Very good point DC i have met some guys who did make that mistake and were checking in to the DI within 24 hrs.....

Dynasy Inn Pattaya is fine and location is ideal - you won't have any problems there

it's a bit dated (like it's BKK cousin) but the staff, as at all Dynasty hotels, are great

However, for similar money you can get Areca Lodge which is new and nicer and , of course, the PBR is only 999 / night. All in the same area

Either way, you will have a great time so don;t sweat it too much
