Admiral Suites, Bangkok...

I all will be in bangkok early april and only found this great forum last night i have booked into the Admiral Suite on soi22 has any one stayed there what is it like?
Is it lb/gg friendly I know now i should have consulted these forums before hand but as a newbie like they say they all make mistakes are there any good places close for lb hunting Thanks guys for all your help in this matter There a beer in it for any one who is about and can help me on my question Thanks...........

Stayed there when it was brand new in 2003. I had a mid-sized suite. It was a good size and layout and the prices were good.
Last time I priced it was a 2-3 years ago and I thought that it was a little expensive then for what it offered.

The swimming pool is up on the roof and is not very big but is adequate.

One downside is that it's a little far down the Soi and many of the passing taxis already have fares when they come past.
Best tip I can give is you can take a shortcut to Phrom Phong BTS station by cutting through the Queen's Park hotel.
The doorman even opens the door for you and your young lady.

It was ladyboy friendly when I was there but that was 5 years ago. Against that there are few places that are not ladyboy friendly in central Bangkok.

I was there in 2008 - still a reasonable place to stay and ladyboy friendly.

Thanks guys great news thanks for your replys well that a load of my mind I paid 2000bt a night and i did not mind paying it i like the apartment idea better than a hotel you can make your onw cup of tea or make your own breakfast with out haveing to go out. can i ask another question while i am here is there any local bars for bm in in soi 22 if i don,t feel like going to far on a night out thanks again guy hope to meet up with some of you guys when i am out there in april 9th to 15th ......

Not much lb action on Soi 22 - except for Mambo Cabaret - there are some bars/pubs in that area that are popular.

You are only a 5-10 min taxi ride from Nana Entertainment Plaza Soi4, lb central in BKK - 4 bars there - Obsessions, Cascade, Casanova, Temptations and 1.5 blocks away from Nana Plaza is Guess Bar.

As Rxpharm says there quite a few bars and restaurants in that area - on and around Soi 24 especially - but none of them specifically LB ones.

Soi 33 is more or less just on the opposite side of Sukhumwit Road and there are lots of (overpriced) bars there with a very few ladyboys working - probably all or nearly all post-op.
If you want to pay roughly twice the going rate for your beer give them a try.

In short just take a taxi to Nana - should cost about 35-40 Baht + the tip.

Hi Guys
Just back from bangkok what a place !!!!!!
First things first....... Hotel Admiral suites soi22 i can report it is most def a ladyboy friendly hotel as of april 2009 also gg friendly also i had no problems bring back my friend for the night staff never once question me about my friend. This apartment hotel is a little bit away from the beaten track but plently of taxi's outside to take you to your chosen place. shop 7/11 next door for your water supply. man bkk is hot this time of year Room was perfect good and large, bath room could do with a little bit of t l c but was ok for my needs room was cleaned every day and bed linen was changed 4 times a week i enjoyed my time here and would use this place again hope his helps any guy out there thing for a place to stay with a bit of comford i think i paid 1900 bt a night. if any one would like any more info about this place pm me i will get back to you irishlad
