Sofitel Residence Asoke

Looks very nice and reasonably prices for 3000baht per night

Anyone stayed here before and know if its LB friendly?

Dont know about Sofitel Azza, but it is an Accor hotel & they are normally ladyboy unfriendly, I hope I'm wrong . & I think I'm right in saying Sofitels are 3 to 4 star, same as a Novotel, so for 3000 baht thats a good deal.
How's the high fat intake diet going LOL !

Asoke is not perfect location wise - getting taxis can be problematic and the street itself seems like a motorway to me - The hotel is probably good but I think the location is not perfect. The lights at junction of Sukhumvit and Asoke are a nightmare these days - wait times seem to be ages.

I agree, last time i stayed in soi 10 and we had to go from the freeway exit, down to that corner and make a u-turn... It felt like it took longer to do the last part than the entire trip from the airport ~ nightmare stuff.

have not stayed in that sofitel, but have been very pleased with all the other sofitels, and i really like the one in silom, you would think they would be similar.
Have read elsewhere that sofitel silom was guest friendly, so this one should be.
Just looked on the map and it seems a long way.

That last 1/2 km feels longer than the 12 hour flight

azza33, consider the Grand Business Inn as an option on Sukhumvit Soi 11. This is my favourite Bkk hotel, guest friendly, I've had up to 3 lbs visit me at one time (not for bedroom antics!), and 2 for overnight a few times. No problems with extra soap, towels, etc.
